Description
Inspired by the early works of Edwin Lutyens, our bench is built from FSC-certified eucalyptus wood. Sustainable and sturdy, the naturally durable wood features a quality finish for a beautiful, low-maintenance product. Sir Edwin Lutyens was a famous British architect known for his imaginative adaptation of traditional style. The Lutyens Bench has a distinctive design featuring near-perfect proportions with an arched back and scrolled arms; no wonder it's remained popular for more than a century. Our version of the Lutyens Bench is easy to store with a seat that folds up and locks. The eucalyptus is naturally weather-resistant, but it is recommended to store furniture in a cool/dry covered area when not in use

Pretty Good Overall
We were looking for a black wrought iron seat for the one end of a forest garden we've created in the back of our property. My wife was looking for something that ""fits"" the look we've tried to create and after looking across a large number of alternatives came to this one. Delivered very quickly and I put it together out in our garden. Looks great and adds another seating area.

one bench came in perfect. Other one came with major split
finding a long split in the wood where manufacturer put in a hinge was a major disappointment.

Unfortunately I purchased about 3-4 yrs ago.it has started to rot on the seat and frame on back. I called and only 1 year warranty. When I bought I was under the impression that if I brought inside in winter it would last and not rot.

Put it together but not outside yet, still have snow.
I bought 2 for front of my house under a covered porch.

Lutyens Wood Garden Bench
I put this on my front porch. It's beautiful. It was slightly tricky to assemble the legs as instructions were a diagram only. I finally figured it out and I am happy with this bench.

Great Garden Benches
I love these benches. We have two: one in a more serene setting of a moss garden; the other on our back lawn, facing the flower garden. The bench in the moss garden is stained, while the other is a painted surface. The finish of the stained bench is not as smooth as that on the painted. We chose the color to match the rustic armillary. If color is not a concern, I would opt for the painted benches.

Unhappy with natural bench
I have always loved this type of garden bench. This has a very nice design. I was looking for a light colored (natural) colored bench as pictured in the catalog. When this ""natural"" bench arrived it was a dark walnut color and had to be oiled, sanded and finished. The white or black benches might have a better finish.

Bought this Again
I use this bench in the bed at the front on my house for curb appeal. I brought it from my previous home and recently replaced it after having the first one for 7 years. It folds flat for easy storage in the garage during winter. Get many compliments on it.

This is a beautiful bench design but flawed manufacturing
Malformed and unusable bolt provided and paint damage in several places. It would have been a very nice bench if these two flaws were not present.
