We would recommend this screen to everyone.
The fire screen is beautiful! We haven't had a fire yet but the screen looks sturdy and should do the job. It really adds to the beauty of our fireplace. Our fireplace is 40 years old with natural stone and it really enhances the rustic look that we wanted.

Not a proper fit to our fireplace
The advertisement wasn't clear enough concerning fitting and placement of the screen to the fireplace. For example: our fireplace box doesn't go all the way to the floor. It has an area on the top and bottom where a blower can be fitted to the box to blow warm air into the room. With those ""gratings"" at the bottom, the screen doesn't fit securely to the fireplace. The cabin is at the bottom of the screen and can't be seen very well with a fire burning, due to the ""grating"". Perhaps the information should be more clear concerning the fitting of the screen to the different types of fireboxes that are common in homes. It is a beautiful screen and we like it, except it doesn't fit our particular fireplace well. The measurements were exactly right, except for the problem of the ""grating"" at the bottom and top.

Love Our New Fire Screen!
I have been looking for just the right fire screen for our fireplace for a number of years. This one is absolutely perfect for ""our little cabin in the woods""! It adds that extra rustic character to our den/library that we were looking for and it was well within our budget. Thank you Plow & Hearth!

We received this, had no problem putting it together and it looks great! Keeps our pets out of the firplace and lets the heat out into the room. Amazing value!
