About the Author
Frances Schoonmaker Bolin is Associate Professor of Education and Director of the Preservice Program in Childhood Education in the Department of Curriculum and Teaching at Teachers College, Columbia University. Along with Emily Dickinson, she edited Carl Sandburg in our Poetry for Young People series. Bolin lives in New York City. Chi Chungs illustrations have been published in numerous childrens books, including Lucky New Year! by Mary Man-Kong (Golden Books).
