Sean Sims grew up in Middlesbrough in northeast England and studied illustration at Cleveland College of Art and Design before moving to sunny Brighton, where he now lives with his partner and two children, Stanley and Mabel. He has always had a passion for mid-twentieth-century design and illustration, which have had a big influence on his own style. Often described as "making you smile," his bold and bright retro-style illustrations have been used across the globe for everything from children's books, magazines, and greeting cards to gift wrap, packaging, toys, and fabrics. As well as being an illustrator, Sean is never happier than when trawling local yard sales for hidden treasures.
