The preaching of the gospel and the fundamental truths of God's revelation should not be adulterated or overshadowed by the eloquence of those who have a microphone in hand. The mission to share the Word of God must be done with fidelity to the Biblical text and for this reason, expository preaching must be rediscovered by each new generation with urgency.
Thematic preaching is a good tool and illustrations or eloquence a great complement, but they are not compared to the art of analyzing a text within it's context so that it says what it originally wanted to say to its original readers and translate it into the modern understanding; And when that is done in an orderly way to go deeper into the analysis of a letter or a whole book, then the understanding of the listeners is enhanced and that is what this book proposes.
