Q: Hi, Can other standard water jugs fit into this, or do I have to buy the Primo water jugs?
A: It is strange that you mention American Maid. I've used their 5 gallon bottles with this unit.
submitted byWaltR - 4 years agoA: lA certain case of "let the buyers beware of mistakes without a contract " .. seems they've stated the wrong vendor?.
submitted byMerri - 3 years agoA: Thank you for reaching out to us. You can use any 5- or 3-gallon bottle with our dispensers with the exception of the brand American Maid. The way the neck of the bottles are manufactured makes them incompatible with our dispensers. Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns. - Michael P.

Q: Wait, does the actual outside neck of the water jug sit in the water you're going to drink since it's placed in this cistern upside down?
A: I just put my empty bottle into the empty dispenser, and yes, the bottle neck seems to go down far enough that it would sit in the water, at least until the water level goes down :(
submitted byMoonBlossom - 6 months agoA: Hi - Great question! No, the top of the bottle is not exposed to the flowing water once placed into your dispenser.

Q: What is the base made of? Wood? And the dispenser, ceramic? Does the water filter throuhg the ceramic if that is the case and purify the bottled water?
A: Hi Danie, thank you for reaching out. The base is made of wood and the dispenser is made from ceramic. Our dispensers do not include any filter for the water, and are meant for the use of Purified or Spring water in 3G or 5G sizes.

Q: Would this work with Menehune water brand in Hawaii?
A: Thank you for reaching out. Our dispensers are designed to be used with 3-gallon and 5-gallon plastic bottles from any manufacturer except for American Maid. The way those bottles are designed are not compatible with our dispensers.

Q: Can you use a 5 gallon GLASS container on this?
A: Hi Dave, thank you for reaching out. We don't recommend using 5 gallon glass bottles with our dispensers due to the way the neck is made and how it interacts with our dispensers.

Q: What is the size of the opening for finding a replacement spigot? The washer on our spigot broke, so we need to know what size replacement of a spigot to look for…5/8” or 7/8”, etc.?
A: Thank you for contacting us, PK. Please contact us at social@primobrands.com for further assistance with this part inquiry.
