I agree with previous reviews about the amount of lint! I recently washed these after purchasing and the amount of lint was unbelievable! Completely filled my dryer filter. I had washed a couple of things with it that I didn't want to put in the dryer, so had to remove that lint with a hand brush. Had to clean the brush twice. (At first I thought a tissue had gotten into the wash but then realized nothing I washed had pockets) We have yet to sleep on them, but thinking they'll be nice and cozy, (at least until all the softness is washed out).
I am 50/50 on these flannel sheets. I purchased a set of three in different colors. The sale price was unbelievable and hard to beat. The colors are beautiful and the sheets are super soft. However, the pilling is quite bad. Before washing they started pilling. Little fragments were everywhere on the bed. On the duvet cover, on the bed skirt, on the blanket. It really looked bad. They wash well but beware when drying, they produce large amount of lint. They are good for guest room but for everyday use I really don't like how much pilling gets everywhere. Which is too bad since they are very soft and cozy. I guess they had to cut some corners somewhere for the price they are offered at.
Love the look and feel of these sheets, great color too but the amount of lint is CRAZY!! I did wash them first and the lint is everywhere, big balls and general fuzz. I hope the next wash and dry helps eliminate this problem. Should have read reviews. Usually love Threshold brand sheets.
I absolutely LOVE these sheets! They are super soft and cozy and make you want to stay in bed all day! The softness of the sheets hug your body and keep you warm, two pluses during the winter months. I have yet to wash them, so time will tell how they feel post-wash, but as of right now I am thoroughly enjoying them and would buy again in a different color. I bought they gray & white stripes and they go beautifully with my dark gray comforter
These flannel sheets are slightly different, and just as wonderful as the last from this company, which we received as a gift. They are different, because they have a fuzzy and a plain side. The plain side makes them easier to move when making the bed; the cuddly side makes them wonderfully soft if one is careful to make sure the fuzzy side is the surface that will be next to the sleeper's skin. In cases of both the fitted and top sheets, the fuzzy side is the finished side. Our Threshold™ sheets are my husband's favorites, winter and summer!
We had purchased 2 sets of twin-size spring/summer sheets from a recommendation by someone because they had the double elastic at each corner to keep the fitted sheet on the mattress without it riding up. They worked wonderfully, so we thought we'd buy the flannel sheets for winter use. To our dismay, the fitted sheet only has the single elastic at the bottom of the corners and not the double elastic like the cotton sheets have. Why didn't you make them the same way as the cotton sheets with the double elastic which we love? These flannel sheets do ride up off the mattress because you didn't make them with the double elastic, and they are very linty in the dryer.
I opened these sheets and was so excited by how soft they were. Truly, they are so incredibly soft. Then I unwrapped them to wash them and noticed that the "flannel" is only on one side of the sheets. I've never seen one-sided sheets before. Because these sheets are not cotton, the underside; which is not flannel, is a poly blend and if you spend any time in the cold, you know poly blends feel like sheets of ice against your skin when you get into bed. Totally defeats the purpose of flannel sheets. Even at the clearance price I got them for I'm not sure its worth it. Disappointing to say the least. On a final note, the color is wonderful. I bought the white with grey strip set. The white is a pretty, soft white, no cream in it at all. The grey is a washed, sweatshirt soft looking grey. The two colors together are really nice.
