Hannah goes out to Las Vegas for her mother's wedding, where she meets up with Ross, who is acting as Doc's best man and immediately sets up a hot relationship with him, even staying the night in his hotel suite, which is conveniently right next door to hers. Unknown to her, the tryst had been set up in secret by her mother and sisters. This is the first in the series of four books with Ross as a main character. After not letting Norman or Mike stay at her condo for years because she is worried about what people will say, she throws all caution to the winds with Ross, who is a cad. Norman had bought tickets for several events for the three sisters, which Hannah does not attend because she is canoodling with Ross. For me, the final straw was when they were going to go to Circ du soleil with tickets given to them by Norman but Ross goes and buys more expensive tickets for all four of them and they give away Norman's tickets without a second thought. Spoiler: Hannah ends up marrying Ross a few books down the line. I am spoiling it because I think somebody else is writing these last few books and I had to force myself to read them to find out what happened. Hannah is a different person. She is not so nice as in the earlier books and the prose is stilted. I tried, but I cannot get into the story. Reading about her in Ross's suite did it for me.
