Hanes Premium Women's 6pk Cool Comfort Lightweight Crew Socks - Black 8-12: Midweight Knit, Banded Cuff

I’m petite, but these socks strangle my calves, leaving a deep indent. The fabric isn’t horrible, but it definitely isn’t soft like Hanes socks used to be. I also prefer all black, matching socks – as described. Unfortunately, the very bright and unnecessary “decorative” patches on the socks I received are a different color on each pair. (They might complement a child’s wardrobe.) At least they don’t show with your shoes on. And you probably don’t have to waste time sorting them – not just from other socks but from each other… Unless, of course, you need to take your shoes off to protect a friend’s floors, at a doctor’s office or shoe store. Or because you need to put your feet up to reduce the swelling caused by the socks’ super tight tops. They do have one positive feature, however: the seam runs above your toes rather than uncomfortably cutting across the middle of them.

Too thin and too tight on legs. I bought the Extended Size pack, and they are way too tight on my legs, cutting into my skin, even if I try to scrunch them down. The foot part is way too thin for me. I am upset I wasted money on these.

These are super comfy and lightweight, I’ll give them that. But they are cheaply made. Got holes in the toes on the second time wearing them. Not even a seam coming apart, just holes on every pair but one.

These were great socks at first. I bought them a couple of years ago to replace socks I'd had for years. I wear a size 10 in shoes, so finding socks that are meant for a larger shoe size can be tricky. I was really happy to find these, and they seemed to fit so well. They are thin, but I've always preferred thinner socks. Unfortunately, about two years in, they all started developing holes in the toe right around the same time. I'm down to just a few pairs of socks now. I would have expected them to last a bit longer than this, especially since I'm right in the middle of the 8-12 size range.

I like the fit and they are lightweight.

When other reviews said they were thin, they weren’t kidding! My feet get hot and i wanted a lightweight yet durable sock. I had mint colored nail polish on my toes and I could clearly see it through these socks. Hoping they won’t develop holes at least!

I needed thin black socks that went over the ankle - hard to find these days. They're a little tight but smooth. They stay up well. I'm very pleased.

I bought these because they looked soft and the toe colors seemed easy to match up. But the first time I wore a pair it nearly cut off the circulation in my calf. They are also *very* tight on the toes. I've tried folding them down, but then they are tight on the ankle. Very disappointed.

Warm and comfy. Really like the color coded toe box for easy match up.

The original cool comfort ones were way better. They changed the fit & material on these to be tighter, less comfortable on the feet. I bought an original set, extended size 9-12 cool comfort before and loved it, but disappointed when I bought another set of this one, which were different material. Bring back the old material!

Nice weight but to tight on leg.

the socks seemed fine initially. But when wearing them for a day, they are way too tight on the ankle/leg part. My ankles are normal size, so I think this would be a problem for everyone. This is for the large socks, size (8-12). I've bought similar, regular size Hanes socks for my daughter that are fine. But this larger size is too uncomfortable. They are going in the thrift store bin.

Great socks! They are exactly what I was looking for! They are a little thicker than the traditional women’s black (dress) socks, which is what I wanted for work. They are nice enough to wear with a work casual wardrobe.

I would like them better if they weren't so tight on the legs. My legs are extremely skinny. I teach 7 fitness classes per week so they are thinner than most anyone else know. These are women's not juniors. I have tried to stretch them but to no avail. Had I not already washed them and tried to stretch them I would return them.
