This is THE PERFECT LAMP to have near your chair or bed or anywhere - the convenient dimming knob turns the light on and off as it dims it super low or all the way bright, so i can read easily. The arm extends and it makes it great to see over whatever I need - I love the color and the size is perfect - not too small , not too big - the plug in feature was perfect so we could simply hang it on the wall (easy) and plug it right in! This swing arm lamp is okay. I wish the base was more attractive, something round and fuller would have looked better. The shade looks a little small too. This is a plug-in, not a hard-wired lamp
It is frustrating that the photos don't show the cord, and don't provide an option for a matching cord cover. It is very misleading to look at the pics and think it's a hard-wired lamp.Cons: Photos don't show cord
