- THE STORY BEHIND THE ART : I created this piece with inspiration gathered from one of my many trips to Jalisco, Mexico. I have traveled to the same little beach town with my family over the course of 20 years, and it has a special place in my heart. Inspired by Mexican milagros and the incredible array of tropical plants that grow in Mexico, I created this piece with a combination of paint and paper collage. My hope is that this piece inspires feelings of warmth, gratitude, and love.
