This item is not wood in its entirety. It’s mostly particle board(sides and bottom) with maybe the chevron color tiles being wood.

I like the pattern on the tray and the weathered look (from a distance). However, the tan paint on portions has an odd, unnatural orange cast. Also, the wood is not sealed, so it absorbs any liquid spills (e.g., salad oil). I'm going to keep a cloth over it until I get a chance to clear coat it.

no idea why I'm the only one pointing this out but it does not look nearly as nice in person. I looks and feels cheap and plastic-like. idk how, since it says it's real wood. what I hate most the parts that look like natural wood are actually painted that color and irl the color is a slightly off hue that's kind of ugly and the feel of it is cheap and fake seeming as well. I adore the natural wood look so this was a huge disappointment for me. I can't go to store for returns because I have an immuno-compromised child so I'm stuck with it. I was really crazy about this, so excited to get it and after seeing it in person, I realized I wouldn't have bought it in store. that's a bummer.

I like the style of the tray due to 4" H. Dimensions of tray are what I wanted. Spent a lot of time looking at trays from other retailers and thought I had found the perfect tray. The reviews for this item sold me on its selection. Dislike that Target sent a color I did not select nor was color an option offered in advertised description. I am 80 yrs old & cannot go out to mail a return order. Very disappointed that Target did not simply state "out of stock" for Brown serving tray and leave option to customer to accept or reject a different color. Instead Target made the decision for me, sending a very dull an unattractive color that does not match my decor. Therefore I am giving this review only 2 stars, as well as not recommending due to poor customer service.

I thought this tray would make a great part of a wedding gift, I used it as the base (Instead of a box or bag, added in several cook books, and some kitchen must haves. It's very sturdy to hold everything!

A classic, mom had a look like this growing up, and I am happy to have one myself, nice and sturdy, and the price was wonderful!
