Alta Dena Lactose-Free Milk - 1gal

This milk tastes like regular milk, looks like it, and has the same mouth feel. For me that’s a win. It’s also affordable compared to the big name brand milks. Would buy again but it’s pretty hard to find in my local Targets.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a gallon of Altadena lactose free milk at Target because I am lactose intolerant and usually prefer lactose free options. I was glad to find a gallon size since other brands can be pricier. However, I was disappointed with how quickly this milk spoiled. Normally, lactose free milk lasts noticeably longer than regular milk (often up to two months). With Altadena, my gallon started to go bad within about two to three weeks even before the printed expiration date. I stored it properly in the fridge right after purchase (I live across the street from Target), but I was only able to drink a little over half before I had to throw the rest away. It is unfortunate because I liked having a more affordable alternative to Lactaid, but based on my experience, I would not recommend this brand until the freshness and shelf life improve.

I redeemed a voucher at my local Target to test it and have been testing for the past week and a half. I can officially report that it’s my new lactose free milk- it tastes better than Lactaid in my opinion. So far, my stomach has been tolerating very well. I will definitely repurchase!

I became lactose intolerant but tried their lactose-free version and was surprised by how good it tasted. That said, I’ve noticed it tends to spoil faster than expected, so I recommend using it up as soon as possible.

Not only does it taste great and refreshing, but it also only has 2% of the fat! Thats 44% less fat than regular milk! In addition, it's farmer's pledge states that it does not to use artificial growth hormones! And last, but not least, it's farmer's owned and community loved! Go ahead and give it a try... trust me when I say, you won't be disappointed!
