31.5" Entryway Storage Bench and Shoe Rack Distressed Wood Finish Brown - Danya B.: Metal Frame, Non-Upholstered, Rectangular Shape

I received this bench a few weeks ago. The picture looked so beautiful and I was so excited waiting for it to come. I really wanted to love it. When it came the directions were not the best and it was very annoying putting the rods in the frame to make the shoe rack. The top has no holes to attach it to the frame. When I finally got this bench all together it was not very strong. It says it can hold 170lbs. There is no way it can hold that much. I am very disappointed in this bench. I would not recommend this product for any more then holding shoes. Not worth the price.

I received the Danya B Entryway Storage Bench and Shoe Rack in Distressed Wood and the Finish Brown. This product was mailed to me in a box where I had to assemble it. The instructions were fairly easy to follow and I had it assembled in about a half hour. The only thing you will probably need is a drill to screw the bench part into the legs because there were no holes for me to hand screw it in. All of the other hardware is screwed in using an Allen wrench which is included in the kit. The storage bench/shoe rack stands 31.5 inches tall. I like the look of the bench which is a distressed wood laminate. The two black iron shelves really make the bench pop. I have been using the black iron shelves for shoe storage. I also like that you can sit on the bench, it can hold up to 200lbs! My 5-year-old daughter can now sit down to take off and put on her shoes which is nice. This would also work nicely as focal point for an entryway, bench for the bathroom for magazines or even a bedroom. It’s really a unique and versatile piece. It weighs about 24 pounds so it’s easy enough to move around if needed. Overall, I would definitely recommend this Danya B product to anyone looking to upgrade an area of their home with additional seating & storage.

I was really excited about this product- the look was perfect for my home and the functionality seemed perfect. However, it was very misleading. This arrived in a box and I was able to put together myself in about 20 minutes. The instructions were very easy to understand and most of the tools I needed were included. The size was very small, which removes the functionality part. It is so small, it won't work in my foyer, as it seems awkward. I put this in my closet to hold shoes. The screws that hold the top on were too long and went thru the top- creating sharp sections where they overhang. I'm not impressed at all, and it is flimsy, to say the least.

I will begin this review by saying that I am not a person who is often successful putting things together on the first attempt. I always make a mistake, somewhere. This was so easy, and the instructions so simple to follow…even I could do it. One of the holes wasn’t quite carved out enough for a part so I had to sort of dig some wood out myself. The bottom of the top piece (the bench part) also had some tiny holes ready for screws to go into that weren’t at all close to where the screws are meant to go, so I was a little confused about that, but using a drill the screws went in fine with no holes. I like how this bench looks, and it will work great where I intend it, but I will say the materials feel quite cheap. It has a 170 lb weight limit and I would be nervous to test that. Will hold about 8 pairs of shoes, if shoes are side by side and not stacked.
