The flavor is okay but the oats did not soften - they were hard and chewy not matter how long I cooked them or let them sit. Maybe it would work as overnight okay but I'm looking for quick and easy in the morning.

My family has been gluten free for nearly a decade, and we've grown accustomed to a healthier flavor (usually not as sweet and texture may be different). We were really excited to try this brand and oatmeal. The package we opened had very little oats in it and more powder. When adding the directed amount of water, it was too watery (looked like soup with a few oat flakes) and the flavor was a mix between cardboard and playdoh. We even covered it for 5 mintues to see if it would thicken. It pains me to write this, as we want more health conscious brands on the market. I'm hoping we received a bad batch based on other positive reviews, but honestly, I'm reluctant to try again based on our personal experience.

Too chewy - microwaved following directions and the oats remained too firm and chewy. The flavor, however, is really delicious and I wish there were more apple bits.

I did not like this oatmeal at all. The texture and taste is just awful. I don’t taste apple at all. I added cinnamon and blueberries and it’s still inedible to me. Not that there is much to eat. There’s only 5 tiny packets and one packet is extremely skimpy and I’m not a big breakfast eater. I purchased the maple one as well and it tastes even worse. There are far better gluten free oatmeal’s out there with about 8 packets that actually have double the amount per packet. These are going in the trash. It’s a hard NO for me. I went by the good reviews but no one could pay me to eat this again, just being honest.

This oatmeal is especially good for people who don't like their oatmeal overly sweet.It can be fixed with either milk or water.I used milk to give it a better taste but it your choice.
