About this item
Highlights
- NEXT-GEN CAST IRON: Not your ordinary cast iron, this first-of-its-kind NITRO Cast Iron combines the performance of a pre-seasoned cast iron Dutch oven with easier cleaning and maintenance, added durability, and a gorgeous enamel-like finish that’s resistant to rusting, chipping, and staining.
- EASY TO MAINTAIN: Our NITRO technology seals and smooths all the little nooks and crannies in the pan for a more rust-resistant cast iron surface that’s easier to clean and maintain. Do you need to pre-season the Dutch oven? Nope. Can you clean it with soap? Yep.
- TURN UP THE HEAT: Stove, oven, and broiler safe to 500 degrees F, our NITRO Cast Iron provides exceptional searing and bake-ready performance with exceptional heat retention, so it can handle any recipe from stovetop to oven.
- SELF BASTING: Dimples on the underside of the lid drip moisture back into the dish while cooking, making this Dutch oven self basting and keeping foods nice and juicy.
- INDUCTION READY: NITRO Cast Iron performs great on any kind of stovetop, including induction.
- BRAWN & BEAUTY: Even more durable than cast iron, NITRO Cast Iron is built to last a lifetime and, with a satin-smooth fortified color finish that’s tougher than enamel, it’ll look great for a lifetime, too!
- YUM-O! A portion of proceeds from purchases of this product will be donated to Yum-o!, a nonprofit that helps kids and families develop healthy relationships with food and cooking
Description
Meet your new kitchen superhero! This Rachael Ray NITRO Cast Iron Dutch Oven is no ordinary pot. It sears like cast iron, but it’s easier to clean. It’s great with food release, but you don’t need to pre-season. It’s oven safe to 500 degrees F, but it’s also induction ready. This cookware is crafted with an innovative heat treatment that fortifies it at extreme temperatures and infuses it with nitrogen. (That’s why we call it NITRO!) This process seals all the little nooks and crannies in the cast iron, resulting in an exceptionally smooth surface that’s easy to clean and maintain and is ultra resistant to rusting, chipping, and staining. So wash it, scrub it, and turn up the heat! Can your other cast iron do that? It also features a satin-smooth finish that always looks great for beautiful oven-to-table presentations. This roomy 6.5-quart Dutch oven is perfect for braising short ribs on the stove and then slow-cooking them in the oven, one-pot meals like chili and jambalaya, deep frying everything, or even baking artisan-style bread. Now that’s super!

We moved a couple years ago and the color scheme of the kitchen has changed. We had the Rachael Ray stainless steel pots and pans, nonstick bakeware and the ceramic pots and pans etc. for over 10 years. Everything still looks new and performs great. However as I stated the color scheme changed so I bought all new Rachael Ray cookware to replace and match our new color scheme. My wife is a big fan or Rachael Ray and her products.

I like the look and feel of my new skillets. I like that they sit very flat upon my glass top stove. But I do not like that the bottom stains very easily. I have used each skillet just once and thought that I was putting it on a thoroughly clean stove top. Each skillet got a small burn spit on the bottom and try as I might I cannot clean the stain off. It diminished but can still be seen.

It's rather expensive for plain cast iron. I got it because it's red.

I bought this cast Iron pan, my very first, I was tired of ceramic pans. They just get discolored so quickly. This pan is great, very easy to clean, food doesn't stick to it and most imp there is no discoloration.

Not what I expected

The cast iron skillet is very attractive and it matches my other Rachael Ray cookware. I have never used cast iron before so I thought I’d give it a try. First of all, it is heavy. I have arthritis in my hands so I have to be very careful lifting it. Second, I thought I prepared the pan properly before simmering chicken breasts in it. I carefully wiped the skillet out and gently, lightly washed it. I expected it to look unused as it looked when I bought it. No, there is a dirty looking film on it. I don’t want to use it again because of the way it looks, but I don’t know what to do. Do I try to re-season it, do I try to wash it again so it is clean? I feel like I just wasted my money on this cast iron skillet that I was so excited to get. HELP!

Was so happy to finally get a cast iron baking pan. Thank you Rachael Ray. I made a roast in it and it turned out beautifully.
Is it supposed to be so ruff on the inside?

The pan came unexpectedly rough on the inside. I could file nails on it it's so rough. I'm scared to cook with it as I'm worried it's going to stuck and ruin the pan and food. Wasn't sure if it was supposed to be this way or maybe is unfinished.

Cooked steaks 🥩 in my new skillet the first day I had it. They turned out great-as good or better than on an outside grill! I love ❤️ it.
