The visible area for this frame, where you see the picture, is not 8"X10", it is 7 1/3"X9 1/3". This meant that the photo I had in there was basically cropped. Also the wood did not feel finished. I got a splinter while taking off the back and had to sand down the back edges.see moreof the reviewer's review
