Q: What is the Prop 65 warning for -- where is the chromium, and are there other dangerous chemicals on this scooter?
A: California Health and Safety Code (Proposition 65) requires companies to list any chemical on the Prop. 65 list. A substance may be on the list even if only suspected of potentially causing harm, according to Prop. 65 guidelines. Chromium-plated components are not toxic to end-users. On the A Kick, the t-tube and deck are chrome-plated (chromium is the base metal for chrome plating) in order to improve durability and corrosion resistance.
