Description
Robert Mondavi Private Selection Buttery Chardonnay White Wine is inspired by American winemaker Robert Mondavi’s commitment to traditional winemaking and producing flavorful wines for modern wine lovers. A celebration of the rich tradition of winemaking, Chardonnay grapes are cold-pressed and cold-fermented in stainless steel. The wine is then aged on French oak. The resulting golden Chardonnay wine offers a creamy and rich mouthfeel. Stone, baking spice, and tropical fruit notes leap from each glass of wine, finishing with a creamy mouthfeel, truly earning its buttery description. This 750 mL bottle of wine pairs well with bread and butter, roasted chicken and fish, and creamy dishes. Please enjoy our wines responsibly. © 2025 Robert Mondavi Private Selection, Acampo, CA

Good Wine
This is a good Chardonnay, perfect for a gift, as the bottle is elegant. It’s rich, creamy, and full-bodied. The wine is reasonably priced. It can be served with dinner or a casual wine down drink!

It's a yes
I generally am drawn to oak aging and specifically buttery chardonnays. I had this wine at a wedding dinner and asked the server what brand it was because I enjoyed it so much. I was delighted to find it at my Target for such a low price! I personally think it is high quality for the price.

Robert Mondavi Private Selection Chardonnay Ripple
Thanks to Ripple Street, I was able to try Robert Mondavi's Classic Chardonnay in exchange for my honest review. Robert Mondavi's Classic Chardonnay is my favorite of the 3 Chardonnays. It's crisp, the perfectly even mix of crisp, light, airy, pairs well with an array of perishables. A Chardonnay that is very easy to drink and of the highest quality in my opinion.

Buttery Chardonnay
This buttery chardonnay was not what I was expecting. It has a very strong perfume aroma, and a light body. It also has a very acidic aftertaste, with a slight butter finish. I think if it had more butter flavor it might not be so bad, but I definitely wouldn't purchase again

Semi-Sweet, Creamy, And Slightly Acidic.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This wine was hard to find. Perhaps because it is delicious on its own and gets sold out fast. I didn't pair any food with the "Buttery Chardonnay" simply because it is semisweet, with slight acidity which doesn't leave lingering aftertaste. If I was to pair it with food, I would go with sushi and maybe roasted chicken. I would recommend this wine to anyone who just wants to relax, unwind, and not think about pairing it with food.

Robert Mondavi Private Selection Buttery Chardonna

This Robert Mondavi Private Selection Buttery Char
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really loved this Robert Mondavi Private Selection Buttery Chardonnay. It has a wonderful buttery flavor that tastes better than other Chardonnay brands. It doesn't have a bitter or tart taste like some chardonnays do. It was just smooth and lovely. We paired the Robert Mondavi Private Selection Buttery Chardonnay with a chicken alfredo pasta dish and the two together were perfect. You could pair this with chicken, beef, seafood and fish and it would taste great with anything. Robert Mondavi Private Selection is my new go to Chardonnay brand.

Buttery Chardonnay
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The buttery Chardonnay had aromas of vanilla and paired well with fettuccine. Surprisingly I had watermelon on hand and it was phenomenal together! My friends loved it!

Uplifting
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Definitely proved to be very uplifting! Exactly what I needed, paired well with a light bbq grilled meal (chicken, vegetables and some seasonal fruit) smooth tasting, not bitter! Definitely my go to wine!

Nice buttery Chardonay!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super fresh with a hint of sweet. Not a huge buttery Chardonay fan but this one hit the spot on a summer evening with friends on the patio.

Different but good
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To me, this was a little different than your typical Chardonnay. It has a sweeter and less dry taste. Thought it was really good and went well with most meals or just having a glass while watching TV.

First time
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really had reservations about this one because buttery in the name kind of put me off but I always try things once. I must say I really didn’t like the taste and will not be getting it again.

Creamy Buttery Goodness
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a complimentary bottle of Robert Mondavi Private Selection Buttery Chardonnay in exchange for my honest review. This Chardonnay has a mouth-watering acidity with a lingering finish of baking spices. I paired this with lobster and needless to say it was a perfect match. It has a pleasant aroma of pineapple, toasty pastries, vanilla, and subtle hints of toasted oak. The taste was amazing ; apples, peach, hazel nut, and graham cracker will dance on your tongue. I recommend you give it a try and pamper your inner royalty.

They meant it when they said buttery
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was my absolute favorite of the three varieties I tasted, it really lived up the the buttery name. As promised, it was rich and creamy with a smooth mouthfeel that I very much enjoyed. I paired this with a whole roasted chicken, and it was beyond delicious. The buttery taste and notes of oak and vanilla really complimented the taste of the chicken, and created a pairing I would gladly try again.

Not my fav
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This wine was definitely buttery - like coat your mouth with butter - buttery. I wasn't a fan and had a hard time enjoying the glass. I prefer a regular chardonnay that is lighter. And my guests who I shared this with, felt the same. Except my husband, but he loves all wine.
