Description
Robert Mondavi Private Selection Merlot Red Wine has intense, ripe flavors complemented by bright acidity. Distinctive aromas of ripe red cherry, Asian plum, and cranberry, along with hints of black olive, tea leaf, baking spice, and sweet oak, make this a truly unique red merlot. Mocha, brown sugar, and sweet oak round out the nose, while this dark red wine's palate brims with ripe dark cherry, Marion berry, and plum flavors. Oak aging lends sweet toast and brown sugar notes to the lingering finish of this merlot wine. This Robert Mondavi red wine is crafted with fruit from California's Central Coast vineyards, where slow ripening in the cool climate by the Pacific Ocean encourages complexity and depth of flavor. Pair this quality Central Coast wine with rotisserie chicken, meat ravioli, or wild salmon and herbed cheese, or enjoy a glass of wine on its own. Store this 750 mL bottle of wine at room temperature, but chill it slightly before serving cool at around 60 degrees for optimal taste. I love that I can both cook with and serve this wine to guests. I have never found a wine at this price point that could do both. My recipes are enhanced when paired with this excellent wine. My guests all assume I paid a lot more for this wine.

Good wine
So the packaging is great and it’s cork which I love compared to the twist caps. I’m more of a cab sav girl, but I liked this merlot. The body was there and the value for money was great. I also didn’t find it too “juicy” like a lot of other california wines.

This is a pretty decent wine for the price. Love the bottle with its black label. Goes pretty well with white sauce pasta. I have visited the winery in Napa and got acquainted with this brand.

The best!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoyed the classy look of the bottle. The cork was easy to get out and the wine had a deep, fruity smell to it. It was a beautiful red with deep notes of blackberries and something else I can’t put my finger on. Fantastic!
