Ebony Joy Wilkins is an award-winning children's book author, educator, and writing coach. She has written education research, English Language Arts curriculum, 2 books for adults, and 13 books for young children including Zora, the Story Keeper, and If You Traveled on the Underground Railroad.

Tinuke Fagborun is a British Nigerian illustrator. Her style has developed over time to incorporate her heritage, borrowing from its rich history, color, textiles and intricate patterns.
