ROSEN Skincare Tropics Moisturizer for Texture and Scarring - 2 fl oz

This is now my go-to moisturizer, I'm completely obsessed. I've been dealing with some cystic acne, and started using a different medicated cleanser. While I feel the cleanser has been doing well in minimizing my breakouts, it completely dries me out, so bad to where I was flaky, my skin felt scaly, I felt very self-conscious of myself. I picked this one on a whim and I'm so, so glad I did!! It's super moisturizing without making my skin feel oily or heavy, and it lasts throughout the day until I wash my face before bed and use it again. I've also noticed that since starting using this moisturizer that it's also been helpful in healing my existing acne. My skin is also fairly textured with some bumps and whatnot, and this makes my face feel stupidly smooth. Also, the glow. The. GLOW it gives your face, I feel like a fairy every time I apply this moisturizer. It's very much almost like a highlighter would do but not as intensely if that makes sense? Anyway, I'm very happy with this moisturizer and so is my face. Will definitely continue purchasing in the future!

I found out about the Rosen brand in June of 2020 and tried the acne regimen, which included this moisturizer. My skin at the time was very acne prone and I had a lot of scars. I would wear makeup daily to cover my scars, but using the full 4 step regimen daily has been a game changer for me. I don’t need to wear foundation any more and my skin tone is completely even and smoother than it’s ever been. The whole line is a must try and a little product goes a long way! Don’t hesitate to buy the entire line! First pic is from 2020 and the other is from 2023.

I’ve been using this and the wash for 2 years now, I will always get it. It has cleared my skin but mainly my dark spots!! Black woman owned take alll my money!!

I used to like this moisturizer but every time I purchase it I get a completely different product. The color, consistency, and texture is different every single time. I got a refund for my most recent purchase because it leaked in the packaging. My next batch was sealed tight however the color and thickness looked like it had been open for days. On the left is the leaked jar and on the right was sealed. I sadly can’t trust the quality anymore.

I have been switching moisturizers the past couple of years because I never found one I loved that did its job of keeping my skin hydrated while also keeping me clear. That is until I found this one! It’s amazing. I have no other words for it. It works wonders on my skin to keep it plump, clear and in the best shape it’s ever been in!

My skin is smoother and more even after using this for the past 2 weeks. I love it and I’ve found my new staple skin cream. For hyaluronic cream, I used to use Reviva products in the past, but I like this Rosen cream much better now. My facial skin had dry patches before from having to wear masks all day for work but I feel my skin has fully recovered.

It clogged my pores and made me break out. Plus it’s a little too heavy for me.

I wanted to like this since I was looking for a more natural moisturizer and wanted to support a minority owned product, but sadly this made me breakout I did experience the same gritty pieces that others reported, but overlooked it as I think it was pieces of the pineapple that weren’t crushed as well. I would stir it up before each use and it would not be as bad, but something in the product definitely made me breakout I ended up throwing it away and after. I stopped using it the breakouts went away

I think this product moisturizes my skin pretty well. I'm left with soft skin that doesn't feel dried out or tight. It does give my complexion a nice glow as well. One star off for size/cost ratio and the fact that it doesn't do anything for my hyperpigmentation. I continue to purchase it because it's a black woman-owned company and I've yet to find a product that keeps my skin moisturized all day like this one does. I will say that at least a little goes a long way (literally a dime size will do the trick).

Over 20bucks for something thats only 2oz is already rough,but when you open it and see its NOT completely filled so its more like 1-1 1/2oz for over 20bucks..unless this moisturizer works magic I WOULD NOT buy again I feel taken.

I bought this moisturizer because it is clean, targets acne scarring and has diverse ownership. Given the overblown marketing across the skincare industry - I was very pleasantly surprised to see how quickly and effectively it evened my skin tone and healed my adult-acne marks. I did experience the same concerns of other reviewers: odd grittiness of the cream, some stickiness after application and weird scotch-taped packaging. All that being said, I would definitely buy it again with hopes that those elements improve.

A little heavy for summer but my skin was brighter in the morning. Used along with their other products.

I have sensitive skin and this moisturizer has completely reduced my redness and texture. I’ve been using is as a daytime and nighttime moisturizer! love supporting this black female lead company !

For the price there could have been some sort of packaging. Cheap or expensive, I’ve never purchased a product that comes in a jar with only a small piece of tape holding the lid. It is easily accessible for someone to open and dipped their finger. Not sanitary especially in a pandemic. For the price, take the time to put it in a presentable package. When I got it I thought I received a used product until I went online again to realized this product really doesn’t have packaging.

it’s a decent product, i actually just finished it, but the problem i have is there are little shards & hard pieces in it. the entire time i spent using this product i had to pick them out of the container or off my hands :/ was a bit disappointed because this moisturizer was recommended to me and didn’t really meet my expectations because of that. in the picture attached, the shards are the small brown-ish spots

I really wanted to like this moisturizer, but as others have pointed out there are little grainy bits in it that scratches my skin. I’m not sure if I just got a bad batch or not. Other than the grainy pieces it does moisturize my skin, but I probably will not repurchase.

Wonderful moisturizer!! It’s not greasy. When it arrived I thought it was too small but not a lot is needed on the face

I purchased this product after reading so many great reviews. I wanted to love it, however each time I apply this moisturizer on my face there is always some grainy feelings. I can see small white grains particles on my face and hands. I am not sure if it was a small batch issue or if that’s how the product is. Have others experienced similar issues?
