Gem was very dark in color
The color of the stone was so dark that it almost looked black. I returned it for the amethyst stone and like that much better.

Not as pictured
This ring is not as attractive in person as it is online. The garnet is much darker and is not attractive. The gold over silver looks nice, but the ring isn't finished on the inside (underside?). I wanted a size 8.5 but it wasn't available, so I bought a size 9. The ring sits a bit loosely on my finger, but it still feels uncomfortable. Glad that Ross-Simmons asked me to review this. It reminded me that I was thinking of returning this ring.

Perfect statement ring!
I LOVE this ring! My birthday is in January and I wanted a special signature piece for my ring finger and this one is perfect. The garnet is a rich, deep color and even sometimes looks black with red hues which I love. The gold is a bit yellow but it looks great when I stack it with other rings. My girlfriend bought the black one and it looks beautiful too. I am very happy with my purchase and can't wait to buy another ring from RS!
