Q: If the height of this ladder is 53", how can the top step be only 28" from the ground?!
A: The total height is the height from the floor to the top of the hoop when the ladder is folded up. The highest standing level is measure from the floor to the top of the top step when the ladder is unfolded for use. The total height includes the large hoop at the top of the ladder.

Q: The title says "steel" but the details say aluminum. Which is it? At under 9 pounds I find it hard to believe it would be steel.
