    Great Comforter

    I don't do reviews but thought it was good to give one at this point. Bought the Navy stripe full comforter for sons room. It does not bleed or fade. I washed in cold water than hung it up till the next day it was still wet.than dried it in the dryer on hi heat.It is thick and heavy .Washed 3 times since purchased in May.If this may help with some saying that. The strings had a issue. Not sure how they may have washed it.

    Scratchy- washes horribly

    I bought this for our toddler who recently had his crib converted into a toddler bed. I thought the navy stripes would look cute on his bed with the new sheets I got him. This comforter and sham unfortunately feel incredibly cheap and rough. I’m honestly shocked they’re cotton exteriors. I washed the comforter before planning on using it and the polyester batting on the inside caked up into hard “bricks” inside of the comforter, and the exterior cotton shell is horribly wrinkled. This whole set is being returned unfortunately.

    Poor and misaligned stitching

    This is definitely a ‘get what you pay for’. I got this set for my toddler because he’s a toddler and doesn’t need expensive bedding. But the stitching on the comforter is extremely off on parts, and the ink ran in the pillowcase. Not what I’d expect from target. As you can see on the pictures, the blue stitching was supposed to be on the blue stripe, not the white. It’s not even on a straight line in some parts.

    Disappointing

    I’m really disappointed in this comforter. It is a dull, almost heather blue, not Navy. It is not soft or comfortable feeling. I don’t like the look of the seams sewn into it. This is the third or fourth Pillowfort comforter I have bought, and I have always loved them. Also, I have the matching hamper and lamp in my son’s room already. Well, I expected them to match since they’re from the same company, but they do not at all. Way off, and I just don’t like it anyway. It looks faded. So that’s why I’m disappointed. Now I have to keep searching and find time to return this. And I’ll probably end up paying more.

    Poorly made

    There are a number of 3 inch long stitches in blue thread in the middle of the white stripes. This is hideous! They should have done the blue on the blue stripes (they did some of those and they aren't noticeable) or stitch in a ditch as a person with any sewing experience would do. Poor quality

    Do not buy this

    The fabric is so scratchy. I thought if I washed it, it would soften. It’s been washed twice now and if possible, it’s scratchier than it was fresh out of the package. My son is begging for a different one. I can’t return it now since it’s been washed. Don’t make my mistake.

    Poor Construction, Bleeding Colors

    We got this on sale, so I don't feel bad about the price. There are stitches through the body of the cover, as a means of quilting it, I suppose. But the stitching was way off so that blue thread runs randomly through the white stripes. I was going to accept this for the sale price, but then after the first wash, that blue thread bled all over. Terrible quality if you want something nice and long lasting. Fine to have as an extra cover for a kid room.

    Not Good Quality

    I purchased this thinking it was just like the 2019 version--it isn't. The prior version is a soft microfiber-like fabric, and this is a rough cotton. The prior ones held up great, until our cleaner bled the fabric by washing in hot water. I also opened it, threw away all the packaging, and then realized that it came with about a 3" rip in it--which meant I couldn't return. I've had five of these total over the years (we have a short-term lake rental, and, these are in our bunk room), and I'm going to have to try to find something else now that is more affordable ($50 for this is insanity), and durable, especially for a kid's room with summer rental use. Very disappointed.

    Crunchy Texture and Faded Colors

    Couldn't beat this price so I ordered for my son's bedroom. The texture was very hard/scratchy and disappointing. It SOUNDS like crumpling paper and feels scratchy. I thought that running it through the wash might help but I do NOT recommend this solution because the texture did not improve and now the colors are completely faded. If I wanted this low quality I could have gone to a thrift store for a 90s comforter.

    Wrinkles!

    I am hoping we can return these. I am disappointed as the quality is poor. They arrived so wrinkled that I needed to wash them before using. They did not wash up well and are still wrinkly! I do not recommend purchasing them.
