A: The seat is attached to the frame by 9 screws. Even once the legs and back are removed there is still a wood support frame under the seat that is glued to the seat.

Buyer beware
If I could give this zero stars, I would. First, the color is not white - it’s more of a light taupe. Second, the pieces were all just a fraction off, making it impossible to get it put together, no matter how many ways I tried. I have put together a lot of furniture pieces and this hands down the worst I have ever experienced. I’m not even going to bother taking it apart, re-boxing it and returning it. It’s going straight to the dump. I’m very disappointed because, usually, Target has higher standards.

Beautiful stools for my island!!
These stools are gorgeous ! – As an employee of Linon, I was very impressed with the sturdy construction and finish, and how comfortable while sitting – these stools are so much heavier and more substantial than what we expected – the rattan back and style matches perfect with our kitchen’s décor... The stools did require some assembly the instructions easy to follow with its QR code that linked to an assembly video!

Very Nice Bar Stools
The bar stools were such a great value I didn't have my expectations very high. I was surprised and pleased. When they arrived the box was pretty torn up. However, they really have them packaged very well and didn't matter that the box was beat up. They arrived in perfect condition. When we started to assemble them you could tell they were real wood. I love them! They are larger than I imagined. They are more sturdy than I imagined and I couldn't be happier. Keep in mind the color is not pure white. They are an off white almost a cream.
