I bought this after my last period in hopes that it would actually work. I was skeptical. I was beyond impressed with the leak proof ability of this product.

As someone who works in the sustainability industry, I love the attention to post-consumer recycled material in the packaging and love that the product itself helps me cut down on individual waste. I got the regular, not the small, after reading the descriptions of the different cup sizes. It definitely takes some getting used to, as the cup is much larger than a tampon. But I was put at ease by Saalt's helpful instructional and educational videos that were short and to the point but encouraging and descriptive. The only thing the videos could have gone into more was removing the cup. It's a lot more difficult than taking it in and out of a jar, like they show in the example, especially if you're not used to doing that. Give yourself a good 20 minutes to relax and figure things out the first time you're taking it out! The larger cup is very strong, so I found it a bit difficult to keep folded when inserting. The smaller cup is likely easier to insert/remove, but I wanted to make sure it held my flow. I did leak a very small amount every time I put it in, but compared to a tampon it was much more manageable. I definitely recommend this product for anyone who wants to cut down on waste, not have to change a tampon every four hours, not worry about bleeding through a tampon and supporting a great and thoughtful company. Also, I recommend getting the cup wash!

I debated buying this for months&months&months. A couple months ago I walked into Target to buy tampons, and as soon as I saw the price — I stopped myself. Coincidentally the cup was near the same spot, and on sale. I finally made myself just buy it. I waited to write a review because I wanted to give it a couple of cycles before reporting back. The first couple days were a learning curve (and I started using it during a cycle). I was ready to be done. I even reverted back to a tampon for a night. But then made myself try again. And since then, I haven’t gone back. It’s like a tampon, if it’s placed correctly, it should feel like nothing. Just give yourself a chance to adjust. I PROMISE it’s worth it. I absolutely love mine. And genuinely makes me less moody during my cycle because the cup is so convenient, you hardly remember you’re on it. I have a heavy cycle and typically have to wear a tampon and pad to bed. I empty and reinsert the cup before bed, no pad & have no leakage next morning. Just be sure to read the instructions prior to using, for cleaning, etc.

The IG ad sold me and was so informative. It took about 2 days for me to get used to the cup. I put it to full test with full body work out and a full day offshore fishing. No leaking, no changing of tampons, and totally comfortable. For me it worked best to insert and take out in the shower. Just have to remember to stay relaxed that’s the most important tip.

For years I've contemplated switching from tampons to a cup and tried a couple of times with other brands but never had much luck until giving Saalt a try. I am SO grateful to my friend for recommending them to me because periods for me are now easier and less stressful. There is a learning curve to using a cup but please do not let it discourage you. Saalt's team combined with online resources (Period Nirvana!) help make the process easier. My biggest piece of advice is to be gentle with yourself when giving this a try a for the first time, deep inhales and slow exhales -- it is worth trying!

I never knew I needed this!

I bought this a few weeks ago in preparation for my next period. If I'm being honest, I was so nervous. I don't even like to use tampons, how was I going to enjoy having a whole rubber cup in my vagina?? But everyone I knew who had tried one said they never went back to pads or tampons, and I liked the sound of that, so I tried it too. The first day was weird and I did have some difficulties, but it has a shallow learning curve and I quickly grew to love it. I would walk around thinking to myself, I'm on my period but I'm NOT WEARING A PAD! That's crazy! And now I just had the most convenient period of my life and can't wait to use it again in 3 weeks. Thank you Saalt for making this so easy!

I've struggled with cups and was nervous about trying a disc but had a great experience with Saalt. This size didn't work out for me but the super responsive support team sent me the smaller one and it's perfect. I like how the ridges help let me know it's expanded, and the tab is handy for removal. They also sent a pair of Saalt wear to try, and it's SO comfortable! I wouldn't say I look forward to my period, but I don't dread it as much anymore. Thank you!

I'm in my first cycle using the Saalt Small Cup and I love it. It took me a few insertions/removals to get it down comfortably, but now we're rocking and rolling with it and I love it. This is my first ever menstrual cup and I took a quiz to determine the best size and style for me. I wish I'd looked at the storefront a bit more before buying and I would have gotten the duo pack with a regular AND a small, as I find the small works best on my medium or light days, but not so great on heavy flow days. I'm glad to have the small, but wish I also had the regular size for those heavier days. I'll end up buying that size, but it would have made more sense to get them both up front together.

I purchased the Saalt regular cup. This product will be so great, once I master the removal….I put it in no problem and sort of freaked out and took it out right away. Then I watched dozens of videos on the removal process. I got brave and tried it again—left it in for about 5 hours on a heavy flow day…No leaks and I could not feel it!!!! Then I decided to try to take it out to see how well it actually worked and how much it collected. I COULD NOT GET IT OUT!!!! I was so frustrated and worked up—I was crying and my hand/fingers were actually getting super sore from trying to dig the thing out!! I took a break and watched more videos. I gave it another try and FINALLY got it!! I don’t think it is expressed enough about how STRONG that suction can be!!! Maybe that is not the case for everyone, but it was for me! I feel like I had to put way more pressure down on the side of the cup to get it to “release” than I thought I’d have too! I definitely will be trying it again once I gain back some confidence lol…and I also want to order the soft cup to try as I feel it will be easier to break that suction…

I recently had my first flow with this cup. For reference, I've used one other cup before. I don't remember it's name, just that I gave up on it when I kept leaking. Saalt, on the other hand, is totally different. It felt a little different at first, of course, as silicone and cotton are quite different. When it came to dumping it out, I was surprised by how easy it was. Piece of cake to rinse out and pop back in. It was a refreshing change to not have the bathroom trash full of wrapped up, used products. My little pink cup even has a cute little bag. Makes it nice and easy to toss in my purse. We've all felt that horror at work/school when in the restroom and you need something you're out of. It's easy to use, clean, and reuse. I didn't have any leaks, so now I'm enjoying not having to waste a bunch of money on single use products that aren't good for the environment anyway.

I loved the idea of this. However there is a learning curve for sure. Trying to figure out what size to get is dofficult. I fit into both sizing categories so I got the regular. It's too big. I can feel it 24/7 which I did not expect and it hurts a bit taking it out. The smaller size prob would have been great but with a heavy flow on 2 days I opted for the regular. Now I do not want to pay for the second one out of fear that I won't like that one either. It does what its supposed to I just don't like it as much as I wanted to.

I had a Diva cup for years and decided to try another brand after taking "the quiz." I'm glad I did! I went from the larger Diva to the small Saalt cup. It is smaller but also softer and feels much more comfortable.

I have completely ditched tampons after using this product. I dont experience any leaking or discomfort. I love that I can remove it for a bowel movement and reinsert it after. Easy to insert and clean. Love that it's reusable and not disposable.

I've been using this product for years now and I can't imagine going back to tampons or pads. I love my Saalt Cup! It's very comfortable and I feel safe using it unlike tampons which hurt when I used them. I highly recommend getting one and see how freeing it can be. I hated getting my period and constantly having to schedule my day around changing my tampon/pad. Now I can go on long hikes or bike rides and I don't leak or feel that awful feeling of bleeding through. Thank you Saalt for creating a product that works!

I was skeptical and hesitant about using a cup, and I'll grant you, as a first-time cup user there was a bit of a learning curve, but after going an entire period without a single tampon, I'm sold. This is comfortable, and it does everything it says it does!

This was my first experience using a cup and I’m never going back! It was super comfortable and so much better than worrying about leaking because I didn’t change in time. Very easy to use - I just read the little paper they sent to get started.
