An important caution!
Of course I haven't had to use it "for real" yet (thankfully), so this rating comes from my first impressions. I wish the cap snapped shut, it just seems a little too easy for something to snag on it as I put it in or take it out of my pocket; and that means the button itself is exposed. A bigger issue for me is the grip. Videos on the website point to grasping the device as if it was a pole and then using your thumb to flip the cover and press the trigger. Problem is, the grip really can only accommodate 3 fingers, so this means you will have your first 3 fingers on the grip with the pinkie finger off the grip (which feels a little awkward); or you will grasp the grip with the last 3 fingers so your index finger is actually above the finger guard (which feels natural). Unfortunately, in this scenario your index finger is probably blocking the nozzle! I think this is what will happen most of the time when some needs to pull-out the device in a hurry. If the finger-guard between the grip and the nozzle was significantly larger, that would help to force the user to grip it correctly. I got 2 devices, one for me and one for the wife. I told her to use her index finger to operate the device; and I'll probably do the same.

Probably saved my life
This thing may have saved my life back over the winter when an enraged driver got out of his car and charged me. Unbelievably effective, instantly stopped the assault before it could happen. I never want to be without one of these again, there are crazy people out there.

Great product
I have purchased this product for several years, and feel safer carrying it (although I have fortunately never had to use it). I particularly like the design of this model. It feels comfortable in my hand, and I like the flip top for placement of my finger. Would definitely purchase again!

Sabre works!
I began looking for some protection for my wife while she is walking. A month ago I was attacked by a large neighborhood dog while I was out walking my smaller dog. I received it and the month went by without incident, Until Christmas Day. This same dog rushed me and I pulled the pepper spray and got him one time. He retreated back to his yard. I didn’t even give him a full dose but he didn’t like it. I’m sold, it works!

I trust Sabre for ALL of my family
This is one of two items I got for my daughter that moved across the country. This is for less windy days, and the other product, gel (for windy days) jogger's spray with reglective handle, both have a UV dye that doesn't come off quick or easily. That helps identify who or what it was used on. I'm a retired State Trooper, and to this day still carry Sabre, because you need to have a less lethal option in your self defense products. My wife carries Sabre's pepper spray keychain with wifi location through her phone, so I get a notification if she deploys it, can call police, and start her way too. I'd have no other brand for me or my family. I even bought some for other relatives at a local retailer when I got my wife, her spray.

Feels Safe
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this as a claim now though influenster. I had been toying with getting pepper spray for awhile and finally did it. I keep it with my dog walking stuff because that’s the time I am alone. It makes me feel safer to go out at night.

Must-have basic for personal safety
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thankfully I haven’t had to use this product yet, but I knew this was something I needed to have so I was really happy to get this! The design is simple which is nice, but it also has a flip top measure for safety so that it doesn’t accidentally discharge. It fits nicely in my hand and also has a key ring so you can get to it quickly by keeping it on your keys. I know this a great brand for personal protection so I feel confident in this product without having used it.
