I thought I would hate writing indoors but this simple machine has gotten me to a point where if I go too long without an indoor session I make excuses. It made the winter training more than bearable as the temps and snow just kept on dropping for months. I set up my laptop on an ironing board in front of the bike, fan blowing hard core, and have knocked out three hour rides, power intervals, tempos and sprint intervals. Watching cycling documentaries makes this extremely entertaining.

Very happy with the product. Very easy to set up and provides the workout I need at a reasonable expense. Appears to be very high quality manufacturing and I expect a lengthy service life. I don’t know if the resistance units are rebuildable but then again I’m 67 and I don’t expect I will wear it out.. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a no frills, effective trainer.

Went from a Magnetic Wind Trainer to a Fluid Wind Trainer. Was hoping for something quieter than the prior trainer but the sound is basically the same. Having said that, this fluid trainer gives the best experience that is closest to riding on the road. Saris sent the item quickly and packaged it perfectly. I would buy this trainer again and would recommend to any bicyclist looking for a good wind trainer that is priced decently for those of us not wanting to spend a lot to use a trainer inside when there is bad weather outside..

    Sturdily Built

Just set up and only used once but pleased with its design. My only quibble, and it's slight, is that the instructions are printed too small to be readily read and interpreted. The illustration of the insertion of the L bolt was misleading and it took me a couple of minutes to figure out the correct procedure. Otherwise, a fine product.

I got this as a gift and I enjoyed it for two and a half years of moderate use. It was a good workout, and while I wouldn't call it quiet - and it got noisier over time - that never really bothered me. After two and a half years it broke, and I was informed that the warranty covers just two years. The resistance unit replacement is nearly as expensive as the whole thing, so I'll probably look for something higher quality.

The Fluid2 Trainer was easy to set up and get rolling. The clutch/knob takes the guesswork out of tire-roller contact. The resistance unit is very quiet and smooth, especially when using a properly inflated training tire. Since this is a basic trainer, it is necessary to manually shift gears in accordance with the gradient or speed, which gives a real road feel. I am using GCN training videos which offers a wide selection of programs.

I bought the Fluid 2 as my first trainer. Got on sale at Scheels. This thing is awesome. I’ve been training 6 days a week for 45 minutes each ride with my new Trek road bike. Super quiet and smooth. I bought the trainer tire and a used spare wheel so I don’t have to change tires back and forth. Absolutely highly recommend it for ease of value, set up and use. Perfect for the cold Wisconsin winters to keep moving.

Purchased for myself for Christmas. Watched a lot of reviews and was worried it was going to be noisy but man this thing is super quite!! Make sure you watch the videos on putting it together. The hardest part was actually holding the bike up to get the axel into the right position. Using two people would make it a lot easier.

This is my first bike trainer, and I like that it was simple to assemble, easy to hook up my bike to, and runs pretty quiet. I can use this in my basement with the door closed and my family upstairs can't hear it, and I can hear my TV at a normal volume over the trainer noise. Very happy with the purchase.

Just put this together. Have not tried riding. It was not easy, needed my Husband to help and a hammer to get it together. Will figure out if I like it once I get on it. Bike shop said it was really quiet and that it was the one she had as a trainer in her home...we will see. Did not start out good with parts missing...

Review of Saris 2 Fluid Trainer

My main issue with prior trainers that I've owned was with the gripping power on the rear quick release - this trainer is great in that respect and I like the fact that it can accommodate three different axle lengths using a clever design on the non-drive side - would buy it again . recommended with the black regular knob .

I bought this trainer for the rain season in Colombia. I was frustrated not being able to continue training in the mornings because of the rains. So this was a wise choice and best of all it is quite quiet compared to the magnetic ones. Cheers!
