I've been looking for a French-style basket bag and this turned out to be a great option somewhat in that realm, at a low price. I really like that the stripes on the scarf are brown, as that's a neutral that I love for summer. Another reviewer mentieond not being able to carry it under their arm, but that wasn't a problem for me. However if you are shorter, have short or fat arms, you may have an issue. At my height (5'7") with long, slim arms I am able to comfortably carry it on my shoulder if I need to, but to me this is more of a hand/elbow carry style anyway.

Thought it would be a good tote for summer but it was too large and stiff It would not squeeze together at the top to press it under my arm while placing on my shoulder. Had to return it I didn't need a another beach bag
