Schlage Encode Aged Bronze Metal Wifi Deadbolt

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installing the Schlage Encode Smart Deadbolt was really easy, especially with the detailed instructions and the qr code scan for setup. It seems quite weather resistant and holds up well in the Texas heat. There seems to be an issue with the wifi connectivity as they lose connection and have to be reset more often than expected. Another issue that really drags down the rating is the fact that the left side of the key pad seems to stop resounding to touch, and the lock button on the bottom as well. The lock itself has awesome features like the virtual keys, ability to create multiple pass codes, the ability to lock/ unlock using Alexa or the Schlage app, and the battery level display.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was simple to install with only a screwdriver. You scan a QR code (included) and it takes you to step by step animated instructions. Connecting to wi-fi and setting up my code was very easy. Just download the Schlage app, create an account, and follow instructions. It locks and unlocks smoothly. I can manually enter the code to unlock, press one key to lock, and also lock and unlock using my phone. I connected it to Alexa, so I can also tell her to lock/unlock the door. The lock sends my phone a notification when it locks and unlocks. The lock looks sturdy, I think it will hold up well and last a long time. It’s sealed good so I don’t think weather will affect it. I’m very pleased with this lock and plan on adding more of them to my house.

I love the app that let's me know when someone enters and by giving unique codes to each person you know who has entered. Like the lite keypad and touch buttons. Also like that you see the health of the battery on the App, VERY useful. Setting up additional entry codes was easy. Another nice feature is auto lock after the time I set. Nice!!!

This one is much easier to use. Easier to install and the battery pack is much more accessible! Plus I love that I can add codes through an app, instead of pulling out the instructions for the old one.

Sends notice when batteries are low and lock is used. Can be deactivated if not wanted. Only complaint might be the touchpad shows finger contact area over time. Must be wiped down so code can’t be guessed.

We like the app, it works really well. We liked it so much. I installed the same lock on my mother‘s front door in the Midwest, we live out west, she’s 92 years old and I am able to manage her front door from the West Coast. The H bronze matches the style of our front door to a T.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had a Schlage smart lock for over 5 years and just upgraded to the Encode WiFi model. Our previous lock, Sense model, still works great and we actually installed it on another door. The ability to lock and unlock from afar was the key selling point for the Encode as the Sense model works via bluetooth (only) so proximity is important. Both locks are easy to install and set up. The app walks you through each step. We went specifically with Schlage due to direct experience of longevity which added to our trust in the brand. The locks and app are very user friendly. Definitely recommend.

Had them installed for 2 weeks now. Connecting the Apple home feature was a bit confusing at first. I had to use the Schlage app first to set up the lock, then find the integration in the Schlage app and select Apple Home integration. After that, I was able to use both apps and the Apple wallet feature.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the Encode per a friends recommendation and it was installed three weeks ago. Since then, I’ve added multiple codes with ease. Just days ago, a contractor was at my home doing some repairs and I’m currently in another country. But I saw him through my doorbell camera and opened the door through the instant unlock feature. I was able to lock it from the app upon his departure and the app currently shows that it’s in lock mode. I love the ease and responsive of this app and would recommend this lock.

Sometimes it loses WiFi connectivity and it took a while to figure out how to re-connect it. Schlage needs to do a better job of making support topics more readily accessible. Adding FAQs to the installation card/pamphlet or app would be a nice start.
