Master Lock Yale Electronic Keypad Deadbolt in Black Suede Finish

With everything being Bluetooth/wireless/automated now its hard to dig my keys out from the bottom of my mom bag of "stuff". There are other models of keyless lock that work by fingerprint or proximity, but I do feel like the keypad is a more economical option that has less points of possible failure. This model has so far been working well, but I will advise that we had an older model of the exact same brand that was a keypad that did fail after a bit. It was frequently in the sun and we were told that this likely led to failure. Hopefully that has been remedied and I look forward to not having to dig my key out for now!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a few issues getting this item. UPS wanted a signature and kept returning to sender. Installation was a bit tricky, this appears to be for a brand new door, not just a lock replacement. It should have came with two different screw sizes. We had to drill out more of our door to get it to fit. It appears to be working well now that its installed.

The security features are amazing it’s going to be very secure. The keypad seems that it’s going to last forever hopefully. Make sure you buy good batteries so you won’t have to struggle.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm loving this Yale Code Keypad Deadbolt Lock! It is fancy! I can create up to 20 unique codes. Which allows each person I want to have their own code, be able to enter, and I'll know who came in! Added security, got to love that! It also comes with a key, for just in case moments! It was soo easy to install, I literally only needed a Philips head screwdriver and done within a few minutes!! It does require 4 AA batteries that weren't included, but I ALWAYS have AA batteries on hand anyway. I love the Black Suede color, but it's also available in Satin Nickle! Now I want to replace my front door, or at least paint it and change the doorknob to match this!! I am 100% satisfied with this product!

Initially we put it on our front door but will be moving it to our attached garage door. It was easy to use and it gets the job done though!

The installation was easy for my husband, it has customizable options and works on left or right sides doors. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, a great product that, while it IS a little "extra," offers several quality-of-life features that I've grown to love. First off, the keypad lights up when you press the "Yale" button to enter in the unlock sequence. No more fumbling for your cell phone light to see what you're doing on a pitch black front porch. Second up is my favorite feature...you can lock the deadbolt with a single push of a button, or if you prefer, the latch can be set to lock automatically upon closing the door. Nice! Third QOL feature has helped me out twice so far, and I've had the lock for 3 weeks. Scenario: my truck is cranked in the driveway, AC running cool, kids loaded up, and about to leave. But wait....my daughter needs her ear buds. Normally, I need to turn off my vehicle so I can use my keys to open the door, and I'm in a big hurry so my family doesnt roast alive in the hot summer sun in my driveway. An electronic keypad fixes that problem 100%. I understand the challenge in creating a universal door lock mechanism for all door dimensions/thicknesses. I guess my door was fairly standard, and I made no modifications....install was smooth and easy. The instructions were good as they could be, but I can see where someone who isn't mechanically savvy may be intimidated just flipping through the manual. Put the QR code for the digital instructions in a second, more accessible place (it's behind the battery cover), then the 4 stars becomes 5!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this deadbolt it is super easy to install durable. It seems to be a good quality. It makes me feel more secure in my home. The battery seems to last a while. I use rechargeable so a full charge lasts about a month maybe longer. I like that you can put it on silent mode you can switch which way the door locks depending on whether your door is right or left. Customization is easy to follow. There’s little buttons that you slide inside the battery compartment to put it on automatic manual, silent or regular and left or right. The color fits in with my decor. It goes with the rest of my door knobs, which are black all in all this is an amazing product and when I am in need of a new deadbolt, this will definitely be one I purchase..

I watched a quick YouTube tutorial and it only took about 15 minutes to install. What I love the most is how convenient it is not to search through my purse for the keys every time I come home. It was super easy to install, looks great, and is simple to program. Now my adult daughter can get in without a key when she watches my house for me. It runs on 4 - AA batteries. No more fumbling through multiple keys on my keychain to find the right key. Just a simple code and I’m in.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great option if you have multiple people needing to come in and out of your home, like babysitters, dog sitters or if you need in-home patient care and have a nurse coming in but can’t get to the door, this is a must have. It’s a great alternative to a standard door lock where you have to give out a bunch of keys. You can set up 20 different combinations. You can delete them back off, if you don’t need them. It does have an actual key hole as back up since it does require four AA batteries 🔋 . It does take a little bit with installation to make sure you have the right size door holes etc. If you’re not real handy, you might wanna have somebody install this for you. it does come with very detailed instructions with step-by-step and photos making it simple to follow. iIf your door size is off, you may have to do some drilling, this is why I say you might want somebody to install it for you, if you’re not handy or struggle with instructions. The simple installation process takes less than 30 minutes and only will require a screwdriver 🪛 if the door holes are standard and match up.
