Schumacher Automatic 12 V 3 amps Battery Charger/Maintainer

Like many other reviewers, I may have to buy a new battery due to this maintainer not performing it's function like it should. Or is it and that function is to kill your battery. Again like many, if the charger loses AC power, once the power returns, it waits.... and NEVER begins to charge/maintain your battery until you select the battery type. So unless you want a maintainer you have to monitor daily, DO NOT BUY !!!

The display screen is easy to read and the clamps are a nice small size so it’s less intimidating. It did the job so quickly! This is an awesome charger to have in your trunk for those just in case moments! I’m so glad I was able to get this to try out!

It can be used for your cars, 4 wheelers and boat. It's lightweight and easy to hook up. Plus, the hanger makes it super convenient to hang while it charges. The scrolling digital display is a nice touch too! Just hook it up, hang it up, and forget about it until it's charged. Recommended !

This helps maintain the charger while not in use, no more dead batteries or needing a jump while out - definitely gives me peace of mind! While it is bulkier than some other brands, it is very functional and gives you many options for usage. Easy to plug in and have the option to keep your hood opened or closed while charging. It comes with interchangeable claws or flat rings and a hook that can easily fold away. This is more of a maintainer so it will be a slow charge, perfect to plug in while my car is not in use. Let me tell you we are BIG into emergency preparedness and this has been a great addition to our family vehicle. I won’t name names, but our 2020 mini van has had its auxiliary battery die twice now. Fortunately, our vehicle still runs on its main battery until it can be fixed but having this in my trunk has brought some comfort and peace of mind. The display is easy to read and operate. I would recommend this product to anyone to have for emergencies.

The clamps won't spark if they are accidentally touched together which is always what makes me nervous about jumper cables. Power isn't supplied to the clamps until they are applied to the battery and correctly. The instructions say that it will give you a message that you need to adjust the clamps of they are applied on the wrong post. This device is pretty fool proof with a clear digital display. I love that I'm prepared if the car doesn't start one of there upcoming freezing Midwest days.
