The features that I like the most, or that are greatest value to me, are the starter and the timed trickle charger. Don't really see any value in the wheels on the charger since it doesn't weigh that much, but they are there if you want them. Love the timer so I don't have to remember to stop the charging.

This product makes it easy to recharge our batteries in our ATVs, Dirtbikes, Camper, various tractors, motorcycles, and of course our cars. It is very conveniently-sized and very portable as it has wheels and a push handle. The directions are also fairly simple to understand. We can’t wait to see what situations that it helps us with!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Schumacher 6v/12v manual battery charger/ engine starter is a great, easy to use tool that every garage should have. You simply plug it in, place the color coded clamps, pick the volt/amp and then pick the amount you want to set the timer for. This product had many pros: It offers you the choice of a trickle charge, med charge, fast charge, or you can go straight to engine start. The amp meter is extremely easy to read. The only con I could see is that it doesn't have a hold on the timer, though this is not an issue for me it may be one for someone.

This is perfect for keeping all the vehicles, dirt bikes, 4-wheelers all charged and ready to go. This charger has a 12 foot reach cord so it can be wheeled and used in any part of my garage. It can be used manually (requires monitoring) or setup up for timed charging for up to 135 minutes. The gauges are easy to read with with cables that are flexible for any weather. Also has color coded clamps for a solid connection for top or side mount posts. It has a retractable handle and wheels for easy and better storage out of the way. I would highly recommend this Schumacher SC1446 Battery Charger/Engine Starter for all types of vehicles and toys and a great tool for the garage!

I've been in the process of fixing up my corvette and this has assisted in determining whether the battery is actually any good. Once I got it running, my other tools needed to be charged as well. Great investment for years to come. My only suggestion would be for hooks to be added to the charger in order to place the cables.

We also live in Vegas where the sun and heat eats batteries and makes them deteriorate and malfunction much faster. Juicing them up gives them a little extra go without having to run to a mechanic for help or call For help. It’s also been great for the batteries that are in my kids ride on toys. It has an expandable/collapsible handle and wheels to easily move it around. It is a bit heavy and large so this is better stored in a garage or perhaps back of pickup. The easy to read meter shows me where the charging levels are, there's a 135 minute timer and color-coded clamps. I've used this to start both a work van battery and a motor cycle battery. The SC1446 is extremely versatile and easy to use.

This thing doesn’t take long to charge and it immediately fires out juice so it can fire up my vehicle

It definitely needs a longer cord so you can plug it in and move it to the area you need to use it instead of being stuck in a smaller location, where you may not have the space you need. I like that the charge is on a timer as well. I feel that it helps me know that it will be completed by a specific timeframe. This will definitely get a lot of use here, especially during the winter months!
