This compact receiver Bluetooth-enables any device for hands-free calling & wireless audio streaming.

A: No, the BTR3 will not pair with Apple Airpods. The BTR3 is a Bluetooth receiver. In order to pair a device with your Apple AirPods you'll require a Blueooth transmitter like the Scosche FlyTunes. The BTR3 will automatically connect to the last previously paired device, however you will need to power on the BTR3 when you get back into your vehicle after leaving it for some time. The device works while charging, but buzzes. It also turns off automatically after some delay when not in use, even if it's plugged in. I found those two flaws undermine the point of having this for my use case. It's one less wire connected to my laptop, sure. But now I have a button and two wires to futz with (3.5mm audio jack which can be left plugged in, and usb power which I need to unplug to use and plug back in when I'm done). Overall, feels like a step back. A single wire is just simpler. I had been hoping I could just leave this plugged in, turned on, and tucked away. No dice.

Bluetooth works as intended but the one I received doesn’t charge fully. Only ever shows charged half way and only getting about 2 hours of play time. Kind of a bummer

At first this little device was great, it connected easily to my iPod & the sound quality and volume were great. The volume was even better than when I was using an aux cable. At first, battery life was good, but after just a couple of weeks of use, it won't even last an hour on a full charge.

Used it ti broadcast my LG Andriod cell phone on my home stereo. It works but it has static noise, which makes it useless. Connecting my phone directly to the stereo is perfect so the problem is with the bluetooth receiver.

It didn’t work for our purpose. We tried using it with our blue tooth headphones to listen to our smart tv through the headphones Jack. It wouldn’t connect with our headphones. So cannot comment on quality or value. Even though I believe it said you could use on any blue tooth device.

Best little bluetooth receiver ever! I’m 12 and got it as a present for my father. His car isn’t Bluetooth compatible so… I got him this and OMG!!! It works so well, good quality and is portable. Since it’s always plugged in, it works without the car being on for a few minutes. Worth every last cent!

I have a great stereo setup, but it's got an old type receiver unfortunately from before bluetooth was integrated. It's a killer setup tho, and I don't have any plans on ditching it for a more up to date version since the sound is so amazing. All I needed was a way to stream somehow. Had a clunky direct connect cord, but hey, who wants to be tethered to their device? This handy little gadget is AMAZING. LONG charge/use time (over 8 hours so far), great distance (I've connected my phone and had it in a pocket and been all over my house and it doesn't drop or distort even rooms away), and love the ability to control volume from the connected device. It can also connect any old school headphone set and make them stream, and if you have an old school car stereo, as long as it has an audio jack, you can connect your phone easily. GREAT little gadget and so happy to have stumbled on it.

This is a great little receiver! My vehicle lacks built-in Bluetooth and I had been using an 3.5mm aux cord, but it was unsightly and a bit in the way. This device solved all of my problems by allowing me to connect my phone via Bluetooth and play my music, podcasts, and audiobooks over the car’s speakers with no loss in sound quality! Setup was almost instant and the battery life is surprisingly long, especially if you remember to turn it off when you’re done listening (though it does seem to automatically turn off after a period of inactivity)! I’d recommend this to anyone who wants an inexpensive solution for adding Bluetooth connectivity to their vehicle.

Wanted to use this to connect a pair of nice wires headphones to watch TV with. It connected easily and the sound quality is fine, but there is a lipsync delay between the video and the audio which makes watching TV pretty miserable. Probably doesn't use any kind of a low latency audio codec. Going back to the store I'm afraid.

It doesn’t have a long charged life, maybe one mini road trip or a few short trips per charge. Also, I’ve had issues where when plugged in it doesn’t play or the volume is super soft even with it all the way up on my phone and the car. I don’t even use this anymore, I just went back to using an Aux cord.

This product works very well! I've had it for a couple of months and I don't have anything negative to say about it. It dies pretty quickly so now I just keep it plugged up all the time. I definitely am glad I found this before agreeing to get a bluetooth system installed in my car. This was definitely the better option. The sound quality is good and everyone I talk to when says they can hear me when I'm in the car.
