Scotch 8pk 1.5" Gripping Pads Brown

I just purchased these "Heavy Duty" anti slip pads and they literally lasted 30 minutes...yes 30 minutes! We bought these to put under our sofa to keep in place on a hardwood floor. I applied them to a clean 1.5 inch surface. They went on easy and were firmly in place so it isn't a installation problem. The first time we sat on the sofa the sofa moved and the rubber pad separated from the cushioned portion. Did not expect a 3M product to fall apart like they did! What a disappointment!

I purchased a 4-pack of these for the bottom of my couch legs to keep them from slipping on the hardwood floor as people sat down. Three of four of them ripped the adhesive layer from the layer with gripping dots right after I applied them, as I was lifting the other legs to apply! They are completely useless.

2 years ago we had hardwood flooring installed so I purchased these pads for use on 4 different pieces of furniture (2 chairs, a loveseat and a sofa). To my dismay the hardwood is now discolored under all 4 pieces. The flooring for under the other pieces of furniture on which I used felt pads is fine. Very disappointing.

These were very effective in keeping one of my office cabinets in place. Prior to installation, the cabinet was constantly getting pushed around with each use.

My kitchen garbage can would slide and scratch my floor when I stepped on the pedal. The 3M Gripping Pads are so slim you can’t even see they are now on the bottom of the can protecting my wood floor and keeping the can in place. Wish I had them in the past.

At first I wasn't sure where I wanted to use them but last week when I sat down to rock my grandson in the glider rocker I knew I had found the perfect place to use them. Before using the lads the rocker would slide across the hardwood floor. Now it is stationary and I don't have to worry about repositioning it in the room after ticking a few minutes. I put some pads under the matching glider footstool and it worked like a charm. I would definitely recommend this product.

We have wood floors and our living room coffee table with moving all around but with these grip pads, it doesn't move at all, unless made to move. Could not be happier with this product!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product was given to me to try out by 3M. I have a bench near my front door that was always sliding on the linoleum floor. Cleaned the feet of the bench with rubbing alcohol let dry and peeled paper of of the little pads and applied to the legs. Was so easy to use. No more sliding for the bench.

I have a 150lb bull mastiff that loves jumping on the couch, and we have hardwood floors. Every time she moves the couch half way across the room! Plastic feet on washer would have trouble remaining stable on vinyl floors. Adding the Gripping Pads definitely helped. Will get another set for the dryer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Over the years, I've tried various products on my collection of bench top power tools to prevent them "wandering" under vibration, with varying degrees of success. When I was offered an opportunity to test a free sample of 3M's heavy-duty grip pads, I couldn't possibly click YES any faster than I did. The worst offender in my shop is the wood lathe - it sits upon a smooth, slightly textured metal surface and vibrates like crazy under slightly unbalanced loads. Products I'd tried unsuccessfully in the past either wouldn't stay stuck to the bottom of the lathe or simply didn't prevent the lathe from sliding. However, the little rubbery nubs on 3M's grip pads do indeed grip slick surfaces, while the resiliency of the material also dampens higher frequency vibration to a certain extent, so operation is not quite as noisy either. After several hours of operation, I re-checked the pads and was pleased to see that there was no deformation of the nubs and the pad hadn't migrated from its mounting location.
