[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used Scotch Mount to adhere heavy weight plastic shelf liners in my pantry. It’s works very well and has a strong hold. The only drawback is the adhesive is hard to remove from the carrier portion of the tape as it is soft in warmer weather (the kitchen was 77 degrees) making it somewhat tricky to remove.
It holds and is truly clear!

There are certain situations where this would be the PERFECT solution to a mounting problem, unfortunately, I didn't have one at hand. This would be the perfect product for mounting something clear on a window, glass shower door, acrylic container, mirror - something where you didn't want the adhesive to be obvious. My husband seized on it and gave it a test. He used it to mount some items in his workshop. They had varied weights, different materials, and all were mounted on painted cement board in a humid environment. It has been over a week and all items are holding strong! He loved the tape, especially the versatility. He had a hard time removing the backing, the reason for four stars instead five. The tape can be cut to any size and is truly clear.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this product to attach a tray of paper towels to my bathroom mirror. The tray kept getting wet when it was on my bathroom counter. This product allowed me to mount the tray directly too the mirror, keeping it dry. The mounting tape was strong and kept the tray above the sink.

This product was very easy to use and to be able to cut strips to my required lengths. Was easily able to use the product to mount something on the outside of my house. It already has survived big temp swings and moisture and the strong bond is still there. Great product!

I am very pleased with this product and imagine it would work excellently on a smooth surface.

I have tried the foam style mounting tape in the past and while it was effective at holding, it didn’t look great always having the white sticking off the wall. I was very happy to see that this tape is truly clear (as you can see in the photo)! It looks so much better mounting my small black picture frames with this clear tape because you can’t even tell it is hanging with mounting tape due to the clearness! It has even been very durable holding up in the heat and steam of my bathroom as I use it to tape/mount inspirational quotes to my bathroom mirror. It looks so much neater, cleaner, & nicer not just having packing tape over the top of all those sayings on my mirror! The tape is definitely sturdy and fairly thick even, so I have no concerns about my picture frames falling, as it is handling the weight of the wood frames just fine. This tape is definitely worth the cost, with how good the quality is!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this free from 3M to use and review. I used the Scotch Mount Double-Sided Mounting Tape to hang a picture for my daughter on her wall. It is easy to cut the tape to size, but a little difficult to peel the backing off the tape. It adhered well to the back of the picture and to the wall. I don't know if it will damage the wall or back of the picture as it is still hanging securely on the wall. I would recommend this tape to be used on surfaces that you are willing to possibly have the tape peel off paint or wallpaper when you remove the item.

I was excited to try this product because we had several picture frames with family we wanted to mount in our shelves. We had been using Command Strips, but they wouldn’t hold. The Scotch-Mount tape was very strong, and the side with the tape held pretty firmly for a few weeks. Recently, one of the frames fell down, and some of the paint on the wooden shelves came with it. This was disappointing, since the packaging explicitly stated it could be used on painted wood. Also, the item weight was within limits of the tape, so I’m not sure why the photo frame came down. I think this tape has its uses, just not for the application we tried. I may try again with another item.

I appreciate that it’s for indoor and outdoor use that can be used with a variety of surface types. I enjoy decorating my fireplace space with seasonal decor so I am constantly changing themes. This tape makes it easier to adhere things and keep them there. I have not had any trouble with things falling like in the past. Definitely keeps things in place!

I tried the tape on different surfaces (window glass, door with enamel-based paint, refrigerator, vinyl siding) and it performed well. It is easy to apply and has a neat, clean appearance. The packaging says it is a permanent adhesive so I have not tried to remove it to see how difficult it is or if it will damage the surfaces. I would recommend this product.

I usually love 3M products but this is not my favorite one I have ever tried for several reasons. First, the label of "holds up to 15 lbs" is misleading. When you actually read the product usage on the back it explains that you literally need to use the ENTIRE roll to hold up to 15 lbs. Instead each inch only holds up to 1 lb each, so don't buy this if you have anything particularly heavy to hang with it. The other thing I didn't like was that the backing was very hard to separate from the adhesive without pulling the adhesive away. On the plus side, I like that this gives an option for another way to hang when it is too hard to hang with the usual methods or you are working on a surface that you can't nail into. It is also for both indoor and outdoor use which is a nice feature. So overall there are both pros and cons to this product.

This tape was a better alternative since I could attach it to a surface that could not be screwed into.I found an old towel hanger in the basement and decided I could use it in the garage. We have an old refrigerator next to the door that was the perfect place to hang this holder. Since I could not use screws to attach it, I decided this tape would be the perfect way to adhere the holder to the refrigerator.
