Q: Can this be used outdoors to help seal windows? Example, have wooden "window" blocks for crawlspace openings in winter. There is always a gap someplace, in regular windows, also. Need an exterior safe yet removable wide tape, clear or white. Thank you.
submitted by Concerned - 3 years ago
A: Thank you for your question! It depends on what kind of gap you have. For best results, the tape must be applied in temperatures above 50F. It is also important to note that the tape may not hold if the wood is not sealed.

Q: Is the texture of this tape smooth or does it have a nubby or grid texture?
submitted by ElleEff - 3 years ago
A: Thank you for your question! The tape is fairly smooth with a slight texture.

Q: This shows up when I search for electrical tape; however, nothing in the description says it can safely cover electrical wiring. Can it do that? (if not, recommend Target tag this more appropriately).
submitted by Inquiry - 4 years ago
A: Thank you for your question! Our color duct tape should not be used on exposed wires; however, it can be used on the outside of the wire insulation.

Q: Hello, is this tape waterproof?
submitted by Nonomommy - 6 years ago
A: Thank you for your question! The tape is water resistant; however, it will not be able to hold under water.

Unlike the grey duct tape - this does not look like duct tape. It is also very strong. Very pleased
Thin adhesive layer almost transparent

Really Disappointed - 8 months ago

I bought this last week. It is so obviously a decrease in quality. The adhesive layer is no longer a dense white but a very thin layer of adhesive that it is almost transparent. We have used this product for many heavy duty projects — on a boat renegade entry, home made tabaggon for pond skimming. Now have to find a different product. So disappointing. Can’t even use it on my barn tools.

There is nothing original about duct tape anymore and its no good you can't even start it without it ripping I wish you would actually go back to the "ORIGINAL " and don't put heavy duty on this chapter either scotch tape is heavier and stronger. Poor red green must be sooo disappointed

It is very difficult to tear the tape as it tears horizontally and vertically and it is quite annoying.

It sticks reasonably well - but could have more stick strength. In one application (on an interior smooth painted ceiling) it released its hold in about 24 hours after application.

The other reviews must be Paid for. This light brown will not stick. No glue on the back and it's as thin as painter's tape. I wasted my money but learned a lesson.
