I'd give it zero stars if I could.
I was searching too hard for the right masking tape so I finally just bought this one because it was Scotch brand. I use Scotch brand tape so what could go wrong? When my kids went to camp, I had to label their water bottles and I wrote their names on this masking tape and stuck it onto their plastic water bottles. When we took the tape off, all of the adhesive stuck to the bottles and it is impossible to get off. Wish I never purchased this tape.

Horrible.
This is the worst masking tape I've ever bought. Why would you ever make the glue stronger than the tape? It rips 100% of the time that I use it. It takes a long time to pull up the end and use it again. If I didn't already know of the Scotch brand, I'd think they just didn't know how to make tape. I'd say buy 3M but they own Scotch so I question their quality now too.

Went through 10 rolls and every single one was complete crap. They all would split and tear. Thanks to 3M's bs I ended up losing over 4 hours of production.

Disappointing!
What has happened to your masking tape? I have been using this masking tape all my life. My uncle even worked for 3M years ago. I’m not buying another roll. The last few I have struggled with to have the tape come off the roll without splitting into thin strips that went nowhere. At first I assumed I had gotten a “fluke,” but now I see that is the way your tape is. It seems too thin and has no body to it. What a disappointment your product has become. Gets the job done
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Definitely gets the job done. There was no bleed through once the tape was painted over. It peels off easily once you get a good grip. I would purchase for future home painting projects. It is sticky enough for indoor and outdoor use.
