This was an okay book in my eyes .. filled with basic self care, I thought it would be on a more bossing up version - elevating to the next level. Although I loved the fact that it reminded me of everything I know I should be doing, The book was pretty repetitive. The author also tied everything to racism when I felt like not everything she mentioned had anything to do with that. Illustration was beautiful, as well as the thought to create a book to guide and rebirth, I just wish it was on a higher level ! It’s an okay read just don’t think it is worth buying unless you want to add a pretty book to your collection, check out at your local library.
More for a teenager or YA.

I was hoping for more but this book unfortunately delivered generic tips and strategies that have been shared freely in open space forums (podcasts, magazines, etc). May be more for a younger audience newly introduced to the concept of self care.

I love the structure of the book. You can read as much, or as little as you would like and still gain the tools that you need at that moment.
