The seat height is measured front the top of the seat, it does not account for compression of the padded seat when seated. I purchased these as dining chairs and they make me feel like a kid at the big table. Not ideal but will work for now. They seem sturdy and good for the money.

The color of the chairs are perfect, not too light or dark. I was looking for red chairs for about a month. These were the only chairs that were a true red and didn’t need assembly. I like that they are not heavy. These chairs add a pop of color to my dining room. The chairs are very comfortable. I needed four chairs so I ordered two sets. The only reason why I didn’t give the chairs a five is because one chair had two scratches on it.
