Q: How long does it take to fully charged? Why if I take out the charger it doesn't turn on ? Does it have to be connected to the charger all the time?

A: Hello, the item can be powered by AA batteries or the included USB cable. There is no rechargeable battery so you would need to either leave it plugged in or remove the bottom cover and insert AA batteries. Thank you

I love this sleep machine, it really helps me sleep but if you set a timer, after the time is up it'll have this high-pitch screech and you have to unplug and re-plug in the USB to use the machine again. I bought 2 and both have the same problem

I got it because I need white noise to sleep. There were a bunch of setting. I think it was rain, ocean, stream, one with music, and white noise. I like even white noise and the white noise feature was uneven. (I hope I'm explaining that right.) It had an inconsistant sound and I couldn't fall asleep.

A nice, easy to set, store and during naptime and bedtime when our grandchild visits. The calm and relax music settings are our favorites. A couple of the other sounds are kind of harsh, but for a simple sound machine, at a good price, this one can't be beat.

This is the 2nd time I am purchasing this item. I use the first one at home to help me fall asleep. I bought my 2nd one to use in my office. I keep it outside of my door to maintain a level of privacy. When the machine is on the white noise setting, my co-workers can't hear my private conversations and vice-versa.

SO quiet. We’ve had multiple sound machines but needed something battery powered for camping. These are quieter than the volume on my phone. Seriously not loud enough. The battery aspect is nice and it does switch automatically from the cord to the battery backup which was important for us for power outages and things. But seriously disappointing.

New out of the box, when selecting the Forest sound, playback stops after about half a minute, and seems to "hang"....ie, no button, including the power button works. I have to remove the usb cable (I'm running the device only on USB cable power), and plug it in again for the device to begin working once again. None of the other sounds have this issue. The speaker is definitely cheap sounding, with too much hiss/treble, although somewhat expected, due to the low price. I find that placing clothing on the speaker helps attenuate the higher frequencies to an acceptable level for me.

I put batteries in for my daughter to take to bed. She loves it, however when the timer shuts off, it makes a constant whining noise. I have to take a battery out and reinstall for it to stop.
