Q: Is this rug shaggy like most nylon rugs? Or, does it have more of a smooth, memory foam look?

A: It is not like memory foam, at all. It has about 1/2" pile, and is very soft under foot --- it is very similar to the quality bath rugs of old. The lines you see are different heights of pile. Just enough texture to be interesting, not enough to detract from other decorative objects in the room. Remarkable quality for the price. Line dry to protect the longevity of the non-slip backing.

I actually love everything about the rug except the color. I ordered deep fern and the actual color is much lighter and doesn’t work with my bathroom. We have a tight space and the mat is a great thickness that wouldn’t catch the bottom of the door. Just bummed that we needed the darker color.

Mostly what we were looking for! This rug was one of the FEW bathroom rugs I could find in this size in the color gray, so that was my biggest reason for purchase. It's definitely a bit thin but it works for what it should work for. I wouldn't highly recommend it unless you need this size and this color, because I'm sure there are better options, but it worked for us.
