It tastes like nothing
Target used to make a store brand cheese about 10 years ago that was called up and up, and that was good. But this new stuff for the last 5 years or so, is practically tasteless. Sharp cheddar is not sharp at all, it's shredded strings of nothingness. Store brand at other stores is more flavorful then this target stuff. Don't waste your money. Even though it's cheap, it's a waste.

Bought this on accident for Quesadilla night and to our surprise it turned out tasting the same. It also melted just fine. I did try a bite straight out of the bag and thought it was blander than normal full fat sharp cheddar so if you are using in a dish that is heavy on cheddar cheese flavor this might not be a good sub. I will buy again.

DO NOT BUY cheese from Target!!! Every pack I’ve bought in the last 3 months has turned moldy 2 days after opening. All of the expiration dates have been a MONTH or more from the time I opened it. It’s not just shredded cheese. I’ve had 3 packs of the sliced cheese mold right after opening.

Would not melt!!!
I bought two bags of this cheese and added them to a broccoli cheddar soup I was making. One bag melted right away and the other would not melt!! I even left the crockpot on high for 30 mins and still! I had a scalding hot crockpot of soup and this cheese would not fully melt! To this day it still has not melted even when I reheat the soup. Did I accidentally buy fake cheese?
