I really appreciate the low profile and the slim, yet stable, stand at the back—it makes it so much easier to use on my desk without taking up unnecessary space. The aluminum back is another great feature, offering added durability and protection when I’m on the go. The color, clarity, and overall resolution of the screen are excellent as well. I highly recommend this monitor to anyone in need of a lightweight, high-quality portable screen!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This review is for the Solo Essential FHD 15.6" monitor. I have an 18" HP laptop that I consider to be lightweight in design and this monitor worked well as it didn't put pressure on my monitor as an attached one would. I normally use the monitor for note-taking or as a second monitor for work. The monitor is lightweight and has a widescreen design. I did need to use two of the cords provided so there was an issue with the bulkiness of the HMDI cord and getting the monitor in a good viewing space. I didn't experience issues with moving the monitor and causing the connection to reset. I did have that issue with another monitor from a different company so that was a plus. Depending on your laptop type, you may not need both cords. There are also two buttons on the side of the monitor that mainly deal with adjusting the display colors. I didn't use that much as the default display was fine for my needs. All in all, I would recommend the monitor if you need it for school or work purposes. It makes things much easier and it is portable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently got the Sidetrack SOLO Essential, and it has quickly become my 3rd office monitor. It has a good size screen (15.8”) screen is the perfect size for portability without sacrificing display quality. The 1080p resolution offers clear and vibrant visuals, and the lightweight design makes it easy to carry alongside my laptop. Overall, it's a solid, portable monitor ideal for working on the move. I do have the old Sidetrack Swivel that I still prefer as my second monitor when traveling as do like the fact that it attaches to the laptop and travel with it as one unit. I would have considered the new version of the Sidetrack Swivel for traveling instead of this one. I would strongly recommend the Sidetrack SOLO Essential for those with limit desk space as secondary (even primary monitor), of if you need to move often from desk to desk. For traveling I stick with the slide.

This screen is really nice and comes with a perfect carrying case. It works great as an extension of my laptop awhile traveling. The resolution isn’t as good as my laptop but after adjusting the settings, it’s pretty close.

It's a "plug-n-play" device, you connect it to your laptop or phone via USB-C or HDMI & it's ready to go along with great resolution & brightness. Its super easy to carry around since it includes the carry bag, it's lightweight, it has a built in kickstand, & it also comes with all the cords needed for your device. I am looking forward to getting a second solo monitor to add to my remote work set up!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ordered the SideTrak Solo freestanding fully HD monitor and very pleased with it. I use an Apple Mac and had no issues connecting the monitor. The SideTrak monitor is larger than my laptop which helped tremendously with my work. The screen was bright and crisp, easy to use and the stand is very stable. My Apple Mac is an older model and it adapted to the freestanding monitor very well and the manual addressed this situation which was ideal. Most new equipment do not address older model laptops so props to Luxor for addressing this issue in their FAQs in the manual.

I was able to easily get the entire team to easily see my work without crowding around my laptop display. Huge win. The resolution of the display is amazing and it is so light that it made it really easy to put it into my laptop back and it came with a protective sleeve so I have confidence it won't get scratched while stored.

So easy to use, simple plug and play. Laptop recognized the monitor and it was an easy set-up. Image quality is good. I'd give it 5 stars but there are a couple of things that I didn't like. The biggest issue is the size. It's a 14" wide monitor that doesn't fit in my travel backpack. It sticks out the top of the backpack. The other issue I had was with the stability of the stand. The stand adjusts very well, allowing you to tilt the screen as much as you need to avoid glare, etc., but it's narrow and a single point of contact, which creates stability issues in certain instances. Would be better if they developed a better stand solution. Perhaps have 3 of these narrow, adjustable legs in the back, one in the middle (as exists currently) and then one on either side.

Have used it for extra desktop space when working and have used it to stream while working. Both ways is a very clear image. I would highly recommend it for the price point and its ease of use.

It came with all the needed cables and a nice carrying case to protect the device. It has decent resolution and is lightweight so it’s easy to transport.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very useful entry level monitor. It is very lightweight and easy to travel with. I would like to be able to increase the font size but otherwise a very good choice for a portable second monitor.

I received this item about 3 weeks ago, and have used it as a companion screen with my laptop. Now for the pros and cons! Pros: light weight, easy to connect & use, convenient travel case included for portability, price is very comparable to other products in this field. Graphics look good, no lag time from moving screen to screen. Cons: drains laptop battery much faster than normal, but this is to be expected. Carrying case fits very tight and feels like you might rip case or damage screen if you force it to hard. I personally wish the stand in the back had a locking adjustable position, not just one standard position.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I originally signed up to receive the Swivel Pro Touch FHD 13.3'' but the program was so popular they ran out by the time I signed up. Instead I received the Solo Essential FHD 15.6" monitor. Although I'm bummed I didn't get to try out the touch screen, I was pretty happy with the size of the Solo Essential. I use a smaller, older Stand Steady monitor that attaches magnetically to my work laptop. It has worked well for my needs after the pandemic, but I was definitely due for an upgrade. Normally I prefer the magnetically attached version but this Solo Essential is larger, came with 2 type C usb (for power + data!) ports and 1 HDMI port as well as a 3.5mm audio jack. The side buttons change settings on the monitor itself, so no need to install special software just to adjust brightness or blue light filtering. As long as your device is compatible with DisplayLink, this portable monitor is very much plug and play. I wouldn't recommend this for serious gaming and you may want to plug in a better audio output device, but I was able to play the Sims 4 on it from my older 17" HP laptop. Overall, I would rate this as a really decent product for a portable work setup, especially if you have the Stand Steady usb c to usb c cable that provides power + connectivity. Hopefully they make a touch screen version in this size in the future.

It is truly plug-and-play - just attached the USB-C cable to the computer (no power cord needed!) and it immediately started working. The picture is clear. It is easy to use and is very light and easy to transport. I have tried many portable monitors, and I highly recommend this monitor.
