Should have owned this sooner!
I can’t believe I’ve never discovered this before! Last year our old metal Christmas tree stand overflowed, resulting in a rust stain on our hardwood floor. Fast forward to this year, as I’m searching for a new stand and came across this! It’s amazing. When I accidentally overfilled our new stand, the water pooled nicely on the mat and didn’t leak onto the floor! If I can find smaller options for under house plants I will buy more!

For Dogs' water bowls!
I buy these on clearance every year and use them under the dogs’ water dishes! You can see the one in the pic is dirty and needs to be swapped out and cleaned. Why I buy extras. Some I have had several years, and even sitting out in the AZ sun there has been zero deterioration.

This mat does a great job of protecting our hardwood floors from the Christmas tree base and spillage from over watering the tree. Previously we've put a large garbage bag under the base, and this is a much neater and better solution.

It's a tiny bit too small to fit all the legs of my tree stand on the mat, but it's attractive enough that with a tree with low branches, I didn't bother putting a tree skirt on the tree.
