SINGER HD0450S Heavy Duty Serger Overlock Machine with 2-3-4 Thread Capability

I've been using this pretty regular since I purchased it a few months ago. It's nice, has some good options. I like that they didn't send a manual because honestly I look up my solutions online anyway. What I miss from my old babylock machine though is it had a shortcut tool that helped you thread the threads and this new singer doesn't

I am very experienced with serger sewing machine, but this is definitely not for beginners. Mine was not pre-threaded as stated, and it was difficult to thread. It is very noisy as well. I will be returning and buying one that works for me. I really hate it, because Singer was always a good name brand, but I'm not so sure anymore.

Extremely difficult to thread and Singer sewing machines do not come with a manual which makes everything completely impossible to do and use going online does not work for most people I will not buy a Singer sewing machine again! This machine sounds like a tank when you run it good thing I know how to use a surging machine cuz this is not for beginners!

Not pre-threaded like the description says. Also doesn’t include thread. Please change your false advertising.

This is the worst serger that I have ever owned. I have returned it and purchased a different brand that I love.

I never worked with a serger. This is my first one. I was scared about threading it. After checking the online manual and watching some videos on YouTube, I was able to thread it correctly and it works very well now. This serger is not noisy at all. It works smoothly. I still have to learn how to use different stitches styles. But so far it is amazing me.

Impossible to thread.... I need a PhD zero instructions other than pictures. I can't get my fingers OR tweezers in to thread nor is there enough light. WORST PURCHASE EVER. feel I threw money away. I've been sewing and used singer products for 25 plus years...

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I am very satisfied with my overlock machine. I had no prior experience with this type of machine and found it very easy to use. I still have a bit of difficulty getting it to operate at the lower speed. Since I lack experience, I still can't position the fabric so that the seam ends up exactly where I want it. It would be good if there were a way to activate some sort of low-speed switch. Other than that, the machine is quite sturdy and works very well with both thin and thick fabrics, as well as knit. I wholeheartedly recommend this machine.

Small machine but noisy. I like it so far but i only used it 1 time. I do not like the noise that it makes. Also the threads are breaking and i need to rethread each time. But so far from my 1 time use i can say it s okay and i like that it s small and does not occupy space much.

This machine does an excellent job. So far I have only used it finish edges on garments. I have rated is as 4 stars because I find there is not enough light, and the needles are hard to thread because of where the cutting mechanism is positioned

I am so excited about my new serger. I have had it for a month and have used it a couple of times. I am looking forward to making many projects over the years. Thank you Singer.

This is my first serger and even though it seemed complicated it just takes a little practice threading. It seems beautifully

I fought purchasing a serger for YEARS! I broke down and purchased the HD model after reading multiple reviews. I’m quite pleased! I love the beautiful seams and clean finish! I still see my hems by hand but I’m sure once I master the machine…

I have used a lot of different brands and models of sewing machines and sergers. This one is by far, the easiest and best!!!!

It doesn’t come with a stainless steel bedplate. It was advertised and shown in pictures.

I am beyond please with this Serger. Why would anyone have a "Brother".

At first I did find it a little difficult on the threading process but once I got that figured out I was good to go. I will say i completely over thought that process. Cuts great and gives you clean edges every time!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, I am the farthest thing from a seamstress. I can do basic sewing on a sewing machine and that’s about it. I don’t make clothes or anything else other than a blanket once in a blue moon. What I do a lot of is hemming things or repurpose stuff from old clothes. My biggest issue I’ve ever had were my finished edges. Actually, more appropriately called unfinished edges. No matter what I did on a normal sewing machine I could not get those seams and hemmed to stay seamed. This machine is very daunting at first. I had to run quite a few test swatches to learn it but the instructions are very easy to follow. I’m always agreed if those pedals on these powerful machines cuz if you have ever been in the car with me while I’m driving you would totally understand. This one is pretty easy to control after a few test runs to figure out your comfort zone. I’m pretty excited to try out more things now. I like to make my own quilts out of old clothing and this will help keep the swatches from pulling apart better. I only gave it four stars because 1) I hardly ever give out 5 and 2) I hardly ever give out 5…. Lol but I do recommend this ma home even to the newest of novices.
