Q: I recently ordered this online and was shipped a frame that was 11x14 but with an 8x10 matte. The description says 5x7 matte, which is what I want. What size is the matte?

A: There is 2 different. Buying options. Did you by the 11×14 with the 5x7 matte or the 11x14 with the 8x10 matte?

Q: Does the black frame hold a 5x7 image? In the item details image held, 8x10. I'm confused.

A: This frame holds a 5x7 image in the center of the matted area. If you do not want to use the matte included with the frame then you can put a 11x14 image which will cover the entire inside of the frame.
submitted bydtkachetes - 7 years agoA: It holds an 8" x 10" photo when using the matte. Without the matte, it would hold an 11" x 14". The description needs to be updated, because 5"x7" is incorrect. I just bought this for a 5"x7" and now have to return it.

Q: What kind of attachment is used to hold the backing cardboard in place? Are they metal brads that have to be bent in place every time you change the photo, or are they brads that swivel in place.

These frames absolutely ruined the pictures I put in. They stuck to the glass and when I tried to move them they ripped the picture. I was very careful and treated it like any other frame I’ve used. Awful. Now I have to replace the pictures.

I love the size and quality of this frame. It was used for a family photo and it looked super quality being displayed in it. The hardware attached to the frame made it very easy to hang. It looks much more expensive than it was!

I purchased 2 of these in a pickup order, when I got home and opened the packaging both frames were busted on the corner. The entire corner of both frames was completely separated. I would guess it came from the manufacturer that way.

These basic black frames are nice enough but why in the world would a frame so small come with hardware requiring two hangers? Makes it a huge pain (impossible) to hang level when one hook would have been totally fine.

I have a few of these frames that I bought several years ago. Recently one of my children accidentally knocked a picture off of the wall, breaking the frame. I thought it would be simple to replace it with the exact same frame since they are still sold at Target, but unfortunately, the new frames are inferior in several ways. As many other reviewers mentioned, the hanging hardware has been changed from one sawtooth hanger per orientation to two of them which are not level. More importantly, however, The frame is sold as 11x14, and it is actually not 11x14. It is an eighth of an inch too narrow and a 16th of an inch too short. I will be returning the frame

Beautiful and sturdy but the majority of them have crooked backings screwed in to where it’s difficult to hang the picture frame straight so if you’re wanting to hang up picture frames maybe go another route
