Q: Is the mat removable? And, Can people sign their names on the mat? Is it glossy? Or, is it a type of paper that can be written on? We are hoping to purchase these as a teacher gift. Thank you.

Q: Can you tell me the dimensions of the black frame in regards to its thickness? I’d like to add a brass plate label to the bottom and would like to know if a 1/2 inch plate would fit.
