It does not stay securely on the faucet. The whale has become covered with black mold which will not come off. We have tried hand scrubbing, dishwasher, soaking in vinegar, etc. Baby loves playing with the faucet becomes the whale is over there, and is fascinated by the black mold.
Love this spout cover! Our son is 1 and obsessed with playing with the water as it fills up the tub. After a few face plants into the metal spout, we knew we needed to do something. This one has worked great- it stays on well (even our curious and slightly destructive baby cannot remove it), looks cute, and protects his sweet face!
Doesn’t stay on our spout- babe pulls it off easily

Our 11 month old son is more intrigued now than ever with the water spout and no matter how tight we make the cute little whale, he can easily pull it right off. Maybe we have that type of spout that isn’t the shape/size that allows this thing to really help. It may or may not work for you- worth a try I suppose, but it may end up being an expensive bath toy.
